A very intricate English mystery of deceit and treachery that includes a very interesting puzzle with origins that go back to Christ's death on the cross

    Author: Noah Friedland
    ISBN: 978-1449976798

Noah Friedland's debut novel, A House Divided brings to the world of political thrillers a new twist; instead of Israelis fighting Arabs, we have Israelis in a deadly power struggle among themselves that have dire and unforeseen consequences

    Author: R. J. McDonnell
    Publisher:  Killeena Publishing
    ISBN: 978-0-9814914-2-4

You may approach it with some misgivings like I did—the title sounds too much like the first book, so you wonder.  Don’t.  McDonnell still tells an entertaining story, if not so funny this time

    Author: David Stokes
    ISBN: 978-1-935456117

This book is a story that will thrill and chill you to the bone.  It is a wonderful blend and you will think that you are reading excellent fiction in some places.  It takes place during the post World War I era and the first oil boom in Texas

    Author:  Lauren Henderson
    ISBN:  978-0-385-73777-7

This is the third book in the YA series starring "Scarlett Wakefield," and it's just as good, if not better, than books I and II

    Author:  Jackie Fullerton
    ISBN: 978-0-9843815-0-0

The story is a fun and uncomplicated read - perhaps a good mystery to take to the beach

    Author:  Dennis Palumbo
    Publisher: Tallfellow® Press, Inc
    ISBN: 978-1-931290-60-9

Entertaining, witty and up to the moment, this collection of short stories is well worth the read, and might even inspire you to start your own focus group!

    Author: Steve Chandler
    ISBN: 978-1-934759-40-0

A very good murder mystery but, the murder mystery got caught up in all the "Life Coaching" and that took a lot away from the book for me

    Author: Duane De Mello
    ISBN: 978-1-4392-6009-8

If you enjoy reading novels about terrorists, Duane De Mello's The Wave of the Future is a real doozy!

    Author: Ron Wilk
    ISBN: 9781936183029
    Publisher: Langdon Street Press

A cast of characters so clearly defined in their roles of deception and deceit and a plot filled with twists, turns and surprises, keeps the reader on edge until the end

    Author: Charlie H. Johnston Jr

Exploiting the dark menace of the supernatural as well as lurid dreams, Superstition is a fast paced harrowing tale that not only you can't put it down, but you don't dare put it down, as it unravels through a series of increasingly hair pin twists and turns

    Author: Robert M. Brown, Jr.

This is a must read for mystery/legal/romance fans and anything politically correct or probably incorrect stories

“A Thriller From Start To Finish”

    Author: N. Chris Prince
    ISBN: 9781934938942
    Publisher: Langdon Street Press

    Author: Tempest O’Rourke
    Publisher: Synergy Books
    ISBN: 978-0-9823140-3-6

There are many lessons to be learned here.  The author has a wealth of real world experience behind him and this translates well to the written page.  He has constructed a thriller with philosophical meat, unusual for our times.  The negatives I have mentioned do not distract from this first-rate page turner.  I found it an excellent read.  Try it

    Author: D. M. Annechino
    ISBN: 978-098255503-3

This novel provided me with a comfortable evening sitting in my recliner and sipping my Jameson’s.  But I’m not sure this kind of suspense novel should be “comfortable.”  Deaver at his best is not comfortable.  Harris’ Hannibal is not comfortable.  Annechino’s story lacks that twist that leaves you breathless and wondering about the evil side of genius. On the other hand, this story ranks right up there with some of Deaver’s and Patterson’s work (which recently has become somewhat formulistic). I recommend you take a look.  Like I said, it has all the right stuff.

    Author: Jacqueline Winspear
    ISBN:  978-0-06-172766-5

A new novel starring the beloved investigator Maisie Dobbs has arrived.  And, I can tell you, if you haven’t read her amazing sleuth stories in the past, than you should begin as soon as possible

    Author: Sibella Giorello
    ISBN: 978-1-59554-534-3

Ms. Giorello did a great job of not telling too much so that the reader would know what is happening but just enough to keep you interested

    Author: Kate White

Kate White is a pro when it comes to thrills and chills, and Hush reminds us that this writer has skills sharper than a serial killer's blade.

    Author: John F. Dobbyn
    ISBN: 978-1-933515-63-2

A fantastic legal thriller that will keep you on the edge of your chair throughout.  I couldn't wait to get started and was not disappointed in the least.  The writer obviously knows his characters and tells a tale of murder and mayhem that will fascinate the reader until the last page.

This medical thriller is a heart-pounding page-turner that kept me in my seat until I finished the last page.

    Author: Kathy Herman
    ISBN: 978-1-4347-6785-1

The Last Word is exceptional. The characters come off as real people living in the real world, trying to figure how to live life as a Christian. They don’t always get it “right.” They make mistakes, deceive themselves and others, make harsh judgments, live in denial, think ugly thoughts and do sinful things

Authors: Mary Dieter and Tim McClure

    Author: Jim Overturf

When I began reading JP O'Donnell's second novel, Deadly Codes: A Gallagher Novel I was wondering if this thriller would be a repeat performance to his debut novel Fatal Gamble: A Novel. After reading a few chapters, it didn't take me long to realize that here is an author who has natural talent and is certainly not a one time phenomenon.

Androgynous Murder House Party is well written, has a zany cast of characters, and weaves a believable thread of deceit amongst people who thought they were friends.  The story flows logically from beginning to end and never quite betrays what sex any of the characters are until the bitter end. (and even then you may still be guessing)

If you are as curious as I am as to how Bernard Madoff pulled off the largest Ponzi scheme of all time, you have to read Deborah and Gerald Strober's Catastrophe: The Story of Bernard L. Madoff, The Man Who Swindled the World, however, one word of caution, one of the risks in writing a book pertaining to a criminal saga that is still unfolding is that before the ink is dry, some facts or speculations have become obsolete.

It’s hard to believe that fashion and murder would make a good mix, but in “Armed and Glamorous,” it’s a winning combination. Add to that the fashion-challenged setting of Washington, DC, and this is a book (and series) that is sure to please fans of “cozy” mysteries, and women readers generally.

    Author: R. Allen Downey

    R. Allen Downey once again reminds his readers what an unexpected bombshell a book can turn out to be. In Pirate Queen: The Curse Downey uses all kinds of “goodies” such as pirates, British M16 secret agents possessing telekinetic powers, Jewish ghosts or dybbuks, a ghastly torture chamber used at the time of the Spanish Inquisition, ghouls, and voodoo curses. All of these and a host of other props stream together on the pages of this spellbinding novel to create a mesmerizing yarn that seems to live and breathe on its own.  In fact, this is one work of fiction you won’t just put down and forget about it once you have completed its reading for you will certainly want to hash it over with your friends.

There are two especially impressive elements about Teisha Bourne’s debut novel Motif- the author’s strength in characterizations and her storytelling talent. In fact, the suspense of the story fundamentally lies in the character development, which often proves to be quite a tricky thing to pull off in a novel, particularly if you are a novice author.
