Jennifer Andrew: Freelance Writer and Reviewer. Jennifer is an avid reader who loves to read every type of book, giving all of the fiction and non-fiction books a chance. Her favorite categories are fantasy, mystery drama, romance mystery, science fiction, philosophy, psychology, new age and selective self-help books. She enjoys promoting a good book when she reads one and hopes everyone feels the same joy that she did in reading it.

Cindy Bauer:  Cindy is a Christian Fiction Author & Speaker. She is the author of two Inspirational Fiction Novels, Chasing Memories & Shades of Blue and a member of the ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers). She is an avid reader, employed with her local newspaper in page design and assists with editing and proofreading copy before publication.

Allan Becker: Allan for over 45 years designed and planted gardens for others, as a hobby.  Now retired from the soft goods industry, where he held several positions in design and product development, he has  turned his  passion for gardening   into a second career as a perennial garden consultant to private clients.

He earned a B.A. from McGill University, followed by two years of design studies at Sir George Williams University [now Concordia]. He lives in Montreal with his wife, Hessa, and travels regularly to Toronto and Boston to visit his children and grandchildren.

Shelley Bueche:  Shelley  is a nonfiction book reviewer for Book Pleasures and a number of other media-related outlets. She enjoys reading memoirs, books about Texas and books with canine-related themes. Shelley is a freelance reporter and writes children’s book for the educational market.

Gary Dale Cearley: Gary Dale is an expatriate American who chooses to write about controversial material. His subject matter tends to run the gamut from historical subjects to biography and even humor. Originally from Arkansas, he has spent several years in Korea as well as Vietnam and is now living in Thailand. 

Gang Chen: Gang is the author of Planting Design Illustrated  and LEED AP Exam Guide: Study Materials, Sample Questions, Mock Exam, Building LEED Certification (LEED-NC) and Going Green.  

He holds a Master Degree from School of Architecture, University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, and a Bachelor Degree from Department of Architecture, South China University of Technology. He is a recipient of the Grace and Robert Frazer Landscape Heritage Award from the Landscape Architecture Foundation. Gang has over 20 years of professional design experience.

Jim Curtiss: Jim is a cultural sojourner who makes his living as a freelance editor, writer, actor, and teacher. Much of his work deals with the challenges and glories of the expatriate lifestyle. Jim and his wife currently live in Seville, Spain.

Ernest Dempsey is a geology graduate and an MA in English Literature. He has authored four books: Islands of Illusion, The Biting Age, Two Candles, and The Blue Fairy and Other Stories. Dempsey is a founding member of the World Audience Inc. and the editor in chief of the quarterly review journal The Audience Review. He is completing is first novel. He also writes essays, freelance articles, blogs, and conducts author interviews.   

Dan Goldman: Dan is a musician and music teacher. He's recently finished producing a CD that features his own songs about prehistoric sharks, child criminals, under ground rivers and reluctant biblical heroes. He can often be seen meditating, improvising tasty recipes, or riding his bike in -20 weather.

Sandra E. GrahamSandra is  the author of Amos Jakey and Nicolina published by American Book Publishing. Sandra graduated from Arkansas State University in Joeboro, Arkansas. Many of her articles have been posted on various ezines.

Stuart Gustafson: Stuart has a BA in Mathematics, MBA in Entrepreneurship. Now retired from the corporate world, he is a nationally published author of several books. An experienced world traveler, he spends his time teaching at the University, writing, traveling, and reading interesting books. His primary pleasure is the combination of travel and writing.

Susan Sales Harkins: Susan is a Software consultant and the author of several articles and books on database technologies. She and her husband, William, collaborate on children's non-fiction.

Sarah Katz: Sarah is the author of two novels and numerous short stories and free-verse poems.  She is a creative writing instructor and mentor as well as the National Novel Writing Month Municipal Liaison for one of the Southern California regions.  Sarah is also Avid reader, story teller, perpetual student and lover of learning.   Sarah is a long-time resident of Southern California and  owner of one silly, old orange cat.


Michelle Kerns writes for an eccentric collection of print and online publications. She is helplessly in love with the fictional character Melrose Plant, watches the movie Hot Fuzz every Thursday night, and likes Chianti without the liver and fava beans. Jennifer MacKay: Jennifer is a developmental editor at American Book Publishing and the author of several nonfiction children’s books, including Fingerprints and Impression Evidence. She is an active member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and reviews children’s books for Library Media Connection and Bookpleasures.com. 

Kelly Moran: Kelly is an author of three published books and recipient of an Editors Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in 1993 as well as inducted into the Who's Who book of American's 2006 edition. She is also an avid reader, a member of the Romance Writers of America (RWA) and she was a finalist in the 2008 Best Books Awards. 

Kathryn Peters: Kathryn was born in Northern Ireland, has studied English at St. Andrews University in Scotland and Creative Writing at Trinity College, Dublin.  She writes poetry and is hoping to undertake teacher training to teach English and Creative Writing next year.

Manoj Rengarajan:  Manoj holds a Master of Financial Engineering - University of California, Berkeley and he works in the investment management industry and specializes in providing economic and investment outlook andstrategy for global equityand government bond markets. He has an educational background in financialengineering, business, and engineering, and professional interests include business, finance, economics, technology and related areas.

Jessica Roberts:  Jessica is a book reviewer for a local newspaper and has reviewed for a national women's magazine too. She has had various articles published in magazines and has now completed her novel. Jessica currently lives in West Yorkshire and enjoys walking in the dales and woodlands as part of her hobby as well as, of course, reviewing books.

Sonia Reppe: Sonia holds a B.A. in vocal performance, gives voice lessons in the Chicago area and spends most of her time reading and taking care of her daughter, husband and cats.

Barbara Shine is an insatiable reader as well as a freelance writer, editor, and writing coach in rural Virginia. She has nearly 30 years' experience with medical/science writing and editing, and since 1994 has become an award-winning writer of personal essays. Shine is co-author and editor of The Pen Is Mightier Than the Broom: Memoirs, Stories, and Poems.

 Mary Simmons: Mary is an avid reader who is currently writing a family saga following three generations of women. She has worked as a reporter and is presently occupied with freelance writing and editing a doctoral thesis. Mary also reviews for other sites.

Christine Zibas. Christine has spent all of her life in love with books, and most of her life working with words. She has a B.A. in Political Science from Western Illinois University and did advanced studies in politics and publishing at WIU, Oxford University, George Washington University, and Stanford.

For many years Christine was an editor in the think tank world, editing books and reports on international relations and military studies. She worked at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C. and the Johns Hopkins Foreign Policy Institute, where she served as director of publications. In London she was the editor at the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
