    Author: Dr. Nayef R.F. Al-Rodhan

    Publisher: Transaction Publishers
    ISBN: 978-3-8258-0954-6

In emotional amoral egoism Al-Rodhan writes a very comprehensive summary outlining the components that comprise human behavior and how various factors can influence actions and emotions. This book should be a must read for world leaders who wish to work toward more peaceful and stable international relationships, educators who are concerned with undoing biases and stereotypes that contribute to creation of conflict and division, and the media who are challenged with writing truthfully and with integrity about what can and needs to be done to make this world a better place for all people

    Author: Wendy Treynor, Ph.D.
    Publisher: Euphoria Press
    ISBN: 978-0-9823028-7-3

As the title states, this is a book theorizing about the socialization process. It encompasses what causes conflict (resulting in guilt, shame, humiliation, and other emotions) and what may be a solution to the conflict. The promo to this book suggests that it is a scientific text and also a self-help resource. I have to say, though, it is primarily a scientific text including a section that provides “formal proof” in the form of scientific formulas.

With a background in landscape design, psychology and communications, the author has built a successful career assisting clients to visualize their garden needs. On occasion, this has turned out to be a challenge because several of her clients saw themselves as uncreative. Consequently, they would express helplessness in articulating a personal vision for their garden. The author disagrees.

    A Rare Inside Glimpse

Just having the courage to write “A Simple Man’s Psychology: The Book of Second Chances” rates high in my evaluation. While the target audience seems to be primarily men, women will also find this work fascinating as it offers a rare glimpse into what a man is thinking.
