Bee Lindy

Bee Lindy has been writing book reviews since she was a child. Her notebooks are full of reviews that she wrote before she had her first personal computer.

Before the advent of the Internet, Bee had her first personal computer, and has been saving reviews on computer files ever since.

Her first reviews appeared in her high school and college news papers many moons ago.

More recently she has written reviews as a guest reviewer on various book blogs.

Professionally, she is a fundraiser for various non-profit organizations which entails a great deal of writing. Bee lives with her husband and two dogs.

He previously wrote a standalone horror novella called Children of the Storm.

He recently released an adventure podcast in the style of old radio plays called Fire Pockets.

His stories aim to weave exciting action with humor and heart, with complicated villains—probably because of his upbringing. He comes from a big ol' raucous family, and he survived a shockingly bruising (but not altogether unfun) cadre of violently delinquent Boy Scouts to become an Eagle Scout. He loves fight scenes.

He lives in Los Angeles with his wife. In his spare time, he designs custom habitats for cats.

Arnon spent most of his childhood between worlds: a Hebrew speaker in America, a private school kid in a rented two-bedroom apartment. That experience gave him the bug for cartooning, a passion that has never left him.

Josh’s work has appeared in a variety of exhibitions, including Pow! Jewish Comics Art and Influence that ran at the Brooklyn Jewish Art Museum in Spring 2018.

Josh was included in the Jewish Comix Anthology, published in 2014 by Alternative History Press. Josh was also included in SCI: The Jewish Comics Anthology vol. 2, which was published in the fall of 2018.

Every summer, she and her family returned to visit her mother’s relatives in New Orleans and her father’s family in a small Alabama town. She has lived most of her life in the Bay Area and also in New Orleans. These days, “home” includes not only New Orleans and Berkeley, but also Portland, Oregon, where she lives most of the time with her husband, Bart McMullan, a retired internal medicine doctor and health care executive, and their three dogs.

In the late 1970s, Dr. Avery Jenkins left his boyhood home in Ohio to work in the mountains of New Hampshire, beginning a love affair with the woods of New England that continues to this day. Since then, Dr. Jenkins has followed a winding path, first as an award-winning journalist in Boston, and currently as a chiropractic physician in Litchfield, Conn. Dark River is his debut novel.
Along the way he has been a member of a SCUBA search & recovery team, worked on coffeehouse sound crews, and bicycled his way through Scotland and Tasmania. I feel like I will be thinking about this memoir for a long time. Kristen Rademacher has a way with words that wrapped me up in her perspective and held me there. Reading this book was an altering experience for me. Rademacher's courage and strength in the face of such a devastating and insurmountable loss was both harrowing and heartwarming to read about. Her writing was magic and I felt a real sense of closeness to her as I made my way through the book, even as she described her isolation from everyone around her.
