How does that old saying go? “It never rains, but it pours.” No one knows that better than Lucia Scafetti, the main character of Felicia Watson's new mystery novel, Where No One Will See.

This is fast-paced, roller coaster of a story that left me unable to turn the pages quickly enough! I love a book with relatable and fun side characters, and Where No One Will See, gives the reader that in spades. But I'm getting ahead of myself, let me explain a little bit about what happens in this story, in case you're on the fence about reading it and want that little extra push.

Here's the gist: Lucia Scafetti is a young woman living in West Philly in 1995. Lucia is trying to get her P.I business off of the ground, but she is currently living in her office, while it is located in a basement next to an abandoned dental office.

She lives with her scamp of a dog, Rocco, who seems to love everyone, except the man standing in shadow outside of her door one summer night. The man, as it turns out, is Lucia's father, Carlo, who was recently released from a long prison stint. Out on his own, Carlo seems unhinged and desperate to find some belonging of his that was being held for him by his late mother.

When Carlo goes missing and is presumed dead, Lucia realizes that her new case is going to be a little closer to home than she thought.

This is a killer novel, and one that I'd recommend to anyone. As I said above, the side characters in this one really stood out to me. I appreciated Lucia's friends, her crazy relatives, and I absolutely loved Hank, her love interest. Their relationship was very sweet and gave great balance to the story.

I can't give this book enough praise, so I'll stop here, but this is a perfect read for mystery lovers!
