Before the advent of the Internet, Bee had her first personal computer, and has been saving reviews on computer files ever since.
Her first reviews appeared in her high school and college news papers many moons ago.
More recently she has written reviews as a guest reviewer on various book blogs.
Professionally, she is a fundraiser for various non-profit organizations which entails a great deal of writing. Bee lives with her husband and two dogs.

There is nothing like a good adventure story to get the pulse pounding. Princess Adele's Dragon (Witches and Dragons Book 1), by Shirley McLain is that in spades, with great characters, a fascinating world and so much more. I don't think that this is written down in any rule book, but personally, I think every great fantasy story must contain a dragon. If you don't have a dragon, what are you even doing in a fantasy kingdom? LOL!
The dragon in this story is extra special because he is not only a dragon, but the bewitched version of a former prince. Prince Anthony is the fiancé to the titular Princess Adele, the plucky princess of the kingdom of Valdoria.
Anthony has been missing for six years, but Adele has never given up hope that one day he will return to marry her, however, it is not this hope that brings her to the cave where the dragon lurks. No, this is a noble quest (and don't all good fantasy stories also have a noble quest?) to slay the dragon and protect the kingdom.
But when Adele discovers that the dragon is her fiancé and Anthony turns back into a human, well, let’s just say things get a little hectic after that and the two must fight a battle to save Adele's kingdom from evil usurpers who are trying to steal her brother's throne.
McLain’s world building is spectacular, as are her well drawn-out characters! This is a potent addition to the fantasy genre that begs to be read by any reader. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Shirley McLain is a retired RN, wife, mother, and grandmother of six and Great Grandmother to four, three boys and one girl.
She is currently living in Sapulpa, Oklahoma where she is enjoying her retirement to the fullest. She was born in California but lived her growing years in Oklahoma. She has done extensive travel within the United States and learned to appreciate each state for its own beauty. Her dream trip is to see Spain and Italy at a slow pace.

She has published her educational fiction about Bullying. It is for ages 10 to Adult to help them deal with bullying in school. She is now working on a book of short stories called “Shirley’s Compilation of Short Stories,” which is stories of different genres. She plans on having this book out in December 2022.
Shirley’s love of travel, adventure and writing have created works that will hold your attention, and leave you wanting more.
