Karina Bartow, author of Forgetting My Way Back To You, has penned one other book (2015, Husband In Hiding). She is an especially impressive author because she has Cerebral Palsey and types with one hand. (2019, inside back cover) As you can see she does not let her disability discourage her from following her passion. Bravo to her!

This is a young romance novel. The main characters are a lovely young physical therapist by the name of Charlee and her past romantic interest, a handsome athlete named Hunter. While in high school Charlee met and fell in love with Hunter. Hunter had a lot of talent as an athlete and went away for college before getting scooped up by a major league arena football team. When he left he broke her heart and she was never quite the same.

It’s been a decade since Charlee has seen or heard from Hunter. He has recently moved back to their small town to take a job as the coach for their old high school and she is a physical therapist for the team because in prior years her father was the coach and she learned to love the game. Charlee’s older brother, Eli, is the Superintendent for the school and he has never divulged that Hunter is back. Charlee is a bit miffed about this but gets over it the minute she sees Hunter again.

In the decade they have been apart she only dated one other man, Kip, and that was not too serious because she still had deep feelings for Hunter. Hunter and Charlee strike up their romance again. Charlee is unsure of the seriousness of their newly renewed romance but hopes for the best. Hunter feels the same and tells her that he is sincere and serious about them as a couple. Her spirits are buoyed. They are taking things slow for the time being. However, it feels like they have almost never been apart.

Hunter is still on the radar for his team he left behind on the opposite coast. He gets a job offer that he is giving hard consideration to but has not disclosed this offer to Charlee. Charlee hears about it from a gossip monger at a baby shower for her sister-in-law. She is upset and does not know whether or not to believe this woman or Hunter who has said noting of this sort.

Will Hunter take this job? Will Charlee confront him? Read the book and see. I enjoyed it and believe you will too.
