This book was a regular page turner. I could not put it down because I was hungry to learn more and see what would happen next. It is steeped in history, mystery, and religious overtones that enlighten, entertain, and enrapt you, the reader. Daniel Levin writes from the same thrilling and knowledgeable perspective that Dan Brown does and I see no reason this book should not become an international bestseller

    Author: Hank Phillippi Ryan
    ISBN: 978-0-7783-2718-9
Publisher: MIRA Books (A Harlequin Imprint)

I love it when a series only gets better, a difficult task for any writer to accomplish, but Hank Ryan breezes through with top-notch literary skills. Her creativity with her characters is fantastic and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series to see what “Charlie’s” gotten herself entangled into next.

    Author: Hank Phillippi Ryan
    ISBN: 9780778327189
    Publisher: Mira Books (Harlequin)

Very well-paced, the plot flowed smoothly, without any dead spots. The setting, which is the Boston area, was laid out beautifully. Most of all, you won’t be disappointed by the “real killer.”  Recommended!

This book is good for a nice summer’s day read at the beach or in one’s favorite hammock.  One warning, though: don’t start Pelican Point on an empty stomach.  There are so many references to seafood and some of the wonderful restaurants on the North Carolina coast that one would have to stop reading and go out to find something to eat.

    Author: James David Jordan

    Author: JP O'Donnell
    Publisher: iUniverse, Inc
    ISBN: 978-0-595-51411-3

When I began reading JP O'Donnell's second novel, Deadly Codes: A Gallagher Novel I was wondering if this thriller would be a repeat performance to his debut novel Fatal Gamble: A Novel. After reading a few chapters, it didn't take me long to realize that here is an author who has natural talent and is certainly not a one time phenomenon.

    Author: JP O'Donnell
    Publisher: iUniverse
    ISBN: 978-0-595-51409-0

JP O'Donnell's debut mystery novel, Fatal Gamble: A Novel has been classified as a “mystery” but really it is so much more where we have a series of murders interwoven with a political machination.

    Author: Hank Phillippi Ryan
    ISBN: 978-0-7783-2717-2
    Publisher: MIRA Books

Hank Phillippi Ryan delivers mystery, murder, romance and knowledge in the field with humor, and her familiarity of Boston makes Prime Time a riveting, first-person POV (usually a pet-peeve of mine) and I look forward to more books from this author. She’s dynamic in real life and it reflects in the dialogue and plotting of her writing as well.

    Author: Ridley Pearson
    Publisher: G.P. Putnam’s Sons
    ISBN: 13: 978-0399155727

Be careful, it is easily to become an addict of New York Timers best-selling author Ridley Pearson, although I have to admit that it took me a few chapters to get into his latest novel, Killer Summer

    Author: Gene Pisasale
    Publisher: Outskirts Press
    ISBN: 978-1-4327-4133-4

Much of the story reads like a travel or food and wine review because Mr. Pisasale describes in detail the various accommodations available in Martha’s Vineyard, as well as, the delightful seafood and other dishes that can be found in this popular tourist destination

    Author: Hank Phillippi Ryan
    ISBN: 9780778327172
    Publisher: Mira Books (Harlequin)

Prime Time, by Hank Phillippi Ryan is a fascinating glimpse into journalism, an intriguing mystery, and a sweet romance, with sassy, but loveable characters, amidst a laugh-out-loud dialog to liven any mood.

Mr. Pat (not his real name), author of The Apostate Theory, weaves an intriguing tale of nuclear espionage and terror that traverses from Afghanistan thru Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, to Iran, to the Canary Islands toward the coast of Africa, the Bahamas, and finally the United States.

    Author: F. Barton Davis
    Publisher: Magi Media Publications
    ISBN: 978-0-9819502-1-1

Shadow Dancers is incredibly well written. The plot is executed such that there can be (and are planned according to F. Barton Davis himself) consecutive stories about future struggles between these groups of warring factions. I strongly recommend reading this book!

    Author: Steven Rigolosi
    Publisher: Ransom Note Press
    ISBN: 978-0-9773787-6-0

Androgynous Murder House Party is well written, has a zany cast of characters, and weaves a believable thread of deceit amongst people who thought they were friends.  The story flows logically from beginning to end and never quite betrays what sex any of the characters are until the bitter end. (and even then you may still be guessing)

Authors: Karen Wiesner and Chris Spindler

    ISBN: 13: 978-0-312-36628-5:   10: 0-312-36628-0
    Publisher: St. Martin’s Press

Don’t expect to put it down after a couple of chapters, because once you get into this spine chiller you’ll want to read it start to finish. I was hooked from chapter one, kept on going through chapter 33 and couldn’t stop reading until the last dragon was slain!

    Publishers: Phoenix Books, Inc.
    ISBN: 13-978-1-59777-640-0: 10:-1-59777-640-8

If you are as curious as I am as to how Bernard Madoff pulled off the largest Ponzi scheme of all time, you have to read Deborah and Gerald Strober's Catastrophe: The Story of Bernard L. Madoff, The Man Who Swindled the World, however, one word of caution, one of the risks in writing a book pertaining to a criminal saga that is still unfolding is that before the ink is dry, some facts or speculations have become obsolete.
