Growing up with her family she lived riding horses, helping care for the animals until fate and a tragic accident took her parent’s lives. Loving aunt and uncle took her in, and she had to make major changes in her life but grieving the loss and coming to terms with it came first. Even her grades suffered until she realizes that she needs to do something to make her parents proud. Boyfriends were few but Finn took her heart away and she spent a long time with him until a change was made. He went his way and created his own life but one sentence or theses words sent her on her own path: she had to do something that she wanted in life and that was fashion which sent her on a path to ultimate success. College nearby her aunt and uncle making sure they were okay since Aunt Martha was in a wheelchair.

Jeff in the meantime still had plenty of conquests but was careful this time. Meeting Billy Baker set her path in a positive direction.

Lily Rose worked in fashion and decided to apply at R.R. Peyton and company and was hired. Jeff shopped at this store, but Lily Rose never knew or met her real mother. Always wanting more and never satisfied with less. Lily met Peyton Reynolds whose father owned the company and they had a whirlwind courtship. Sure, that he was the right choice she never really looks at him with perceptive and insightful eyes. Lily is valuable to the company and appears to get the approval and love of his father, Richard but never his mother. Richard and Lisa his parents had two different views of Lily Rose and things were fine, they opened and created The World of Lily Rose which soared to great heights and expanded to many states. But appearances are deceptive and true colors often come out when both Lily and Peyton face a serious medical obstacle in their lives.

Lily never got over losing her adoptive parents and her aunt at the right time gave her the name of her mother, but will she use it to find her?

Lives take different turns and Lily Rose sees another side of Peyton which was violent and abusive. Justifying his actions, she goes to his parent’s house and shows them what he did. Sent to rehab for 6 months ,losing his position in the company, Lily feels safe and free for this short time. But Peyton has issues that deal with male pride, control and the fear of not living up to his father’s expectations and hiding someone he found in his life from Lily Rose. Anger, deception, betrayal and Lily finds herself on the outside looking in and no longer a part of the family she married into and that’s where we go back to the prologue where she’s in a place to receive mental help and support. Her doctors there were supportive, but Lily had to see for herself that she would survive with a divorce pending and no longer receiving any support from her in-laws she had to survive on her own. The farm her aunt and uncle owned was left to her and going back there helped to give her a new lease on life. Standing up for herself and realizing that Peyton was not going to change his inability to have a child sent him into rages and into the arms of someone he meets at rehab. Lily at first takes it in stride but eventually realizes that some situations are hopeless, and Richard gives her a settlement he thinks is fair including all the Lily Rose stores, her brand and more. Negotiating with him was one sided and Lily left his presence for the last time feeling alone and deserted.

A simple slip of paper might bring some insight and hope, but the person attached to the name did not want her in her life ever. Finn was her first love and seeing him one more time gave her the push she needed to find her true roots but sometimes one door closes and shuts and another opens.
