ISBN-10: 0578150298 welcomes as our guest today, Lynn Brown Rosenberg. Lynn is the author of My Sexual Awakening at 70: And What Led Me Here and she has been published on as well as being interviewed by The Huffington Post. She has been commissioned by The Sunday Times of London to write an essay on her sexual awakening. In addition to writing screenplays (two of which are currently optioned for feature films), she wrote a short entitled SOLO and was honored with a Golden Eagle award.

Norm: Good day Lynn and thanks for participating in our interview. Why do you believe people are interested in reading about the sexual escapades of others as well as erotic literature?

Lynn: I think a lot of people aren’t as open about sex as they could be (with themselves or with a partner) and this may help them express their own sexuality in greater depth.

Norm: Why did your write your memoir and why did you reveal intimate details about your sex life to total strangers? As a follow up, how challenging was it to include the detailed descriptions of your sex life and of the conversations you had with some of your lovers?

Lynn: I had been intimidated from expressing myself all my life. This was my opportunity to finally open up. I revealed intimate details because I was on a path toward freedom, and once I began, I decided to be completely honest and open about everything; otherwise, there would have been no point.

Norm: Will you share a little bit about your book with us?

Lynn: This is a memoir about seeking sexual freedom interwoven with the evolution of my past and what led me to need to seek freedom to begin with. It is meant primarily for women over 50, but you can have a closed mind at any age, so younger ages could benefit from it, also.

Norm: What kind of catharsis did you achieve from your book?

Lynn: I had a great catharsis. As I began and then continued on my journey toward freedom, through watching porn, visiting a sex store, joining a sex chat website and reading and writing erotic stories the barriers and judgments regarding sexual matters lifted, so did they also lift emotionally.

Norm: Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it? As a follow up, what did you enjoy most about writing this book?

Lynn: Some of the things I learned: That there are some people you can trust and some people who will trust you back. I learned that people can care for you without expecting blind devotion in return. That sex can be fun. And most of all, that blaming myself for falling short of expectations is not warranted or deserved nor is it a requirement for love. As to what I enjoyed most out of writing this book, I loved writing the erotic stories and about the sex chats. They were fun!

Norm: Is there a message in your book that you want your readers to grasp?

Lynn: That if you can open up your mind, there is hope … for better sex, and for better relationships. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell that you are closed minded, but it is worth any effort to find out. Riches await.

Norm: Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

Lynn: The book has only been out for two weeks, so I haven’t had a lot of feedback but what I have heard has been wonderful. There is a woman who just wrote me who said she couldn’t put it down, that she very much identified with what I wrote, both sexually and emotionally. That was very rewarding to hear.

Norm: Where can our readers find out more about you and your book?

Lynn: Readers can go to my website: and the book is available on Amazon for those interested.

Norm: What is next for Lynn Brown Rosenberg?

Lynn: I’ve started a new thriller that I’m very excited about. It has murder and secrets and I think that’s a good combination.

Norm: As the interview draws to a close what one question would you have liked me to ask you? Please share your answer.

Lynn: What is your hope for the future? Answer: A wonderful man with a great sense of humor, a strong sex drive, and an open and loving heart.
