Bruno Toscano claims to be related to the Bishop in the past and learns about Esther’s find. Things get dangerous and she is captured by this man, tied up and then demands she gives him the information she found in the armoire. Smart, clever and not revealing the translation, she presents him with the pictures on her phone and even downloads them to his as he is about to follow her trail until he gets what he wants, the bones of John the Divine. John the Apostle the author relates was the son of Zebedee and the younger brother of James and their mother was Salome.  James, we learn was thrown from a pinnacle of the Temple and then beaten to death with a club. Joh, the beloved disciple was called as they both were Sons of Thunder and died of extreme old age in  Ephesus which is the primary location of where Esther focuses her hunt for the bones and the veracity of the parchment.

The House of Mary in the 15th century is where we more about a vase containing the old papyrus, some pages from Leo’s diary, and the map that Sandro prepared . Going back to Ephesus, Sandro and his guide are attacked but things take a dangerous turn as they make it back, deal with the danger and still want to continue the search for the burial place. The papyrus confirmed what the parchment said. Legend says he was in here to care for the Virgin and took off to parts unknown and returned there to die. Is his burial place in the hills?

Will the Vatican mount an expedition and make it official or have the Medici or the Vespucci family pay Leo for it?

Esther is determined to learn the exact answers and enlists the help and opinion of Inspector Erkan injured in the hospital. He has Aslan Remzi his new partner helping him with his cases while in the hospital but there is much more to this policeman than meets the eye.

The basilica of St. John was a basilica in Ephesus. It was constructed by Justinian I in the 6th century. It stands over the believed burial site of John the Apostle which is where they are hoping to find the bones and each side hopes to profit in a different way. Esther is determined to find the resting place and give the parchment and the map to someone but who: the Vatican or somewhere else? Legally where does it go and when she finally uncovers more is, she guilty of tampering with a treasure?

Just what else did she find, and would she share it with the world? What are the probable dates for the parchment, papyrus and one more thing? If authentic it would define where he was buried. A ring given to him by Virgin Mary and even more that John too care of her until their Assumption.

The truth behind how Bruno learned about the find is revealed and the ending leaves questions that might never be answered : did John write the Book of Revelation?
