That’s Where God Is is the story of one little boys discovery of his question “Grandpa, where is God?” Armed with the knowledge of right, wrong and bits of information about God, the child discovers that God is everywhere; we just have to open our eyes to see him. As he explores his daily life the little boy finds God at the zoo, in the weather, at home, with his friends and eventually with himself, in his heart. It is an inspirational and touching story that helps explain where God is to children.
I was very moved by this reassuring reminder that God is everywhere. It is easy to see God in the big moments of life but the book brings a reminder of God’s presence in even the smallest areas because they too are important. I really enjoyed reading and discovering this book with my children. They are full of questions and this book helped explain more than where God is to them. It is a reminder of creation, thoughtfulness, forgiveness, helpfulness, God’s power and unconditional love. It was very moving to read and enjoyable to share.
The book is also equipped with verses that illustrate the points made for each place the little boy finds God. It was great to re-enforce scripture with each thought of where God can be found. I appreciated how the Grandpa in this story encouraged his grandson to look and seek for himself before providing answers. It enabled his grandson to learn and discover his world for himself, rather than be spoon fed an answer without encouragement of self exploration. I would recommend this book for children ages 3 -8 although many others are sure to enjoy its simple message too!
