Periscope® Book Light
As a prolific book reviewer and one whose sight is not exactly perfect, especially when I am reading in a dark room, the Periscope® Book Light is just what the doctor ordered. Over the years I tried all kinds of gadgets and very often these were usually relegated to the trash can. Was this going to happen to the Persicope® Book Light?

England
in particular is perhaps most renowned for its love of tea and
biscuits. If it wasn’t for us Brits then all the tea and biscuit
makers would probably be out of business. So it seems fitting that
there is a book which finally gives our tea-drinking, biscuit
crunching British culture its due.

I found myself at a quandary when reading Paul Damien’s Help!: Debunking the Outrageous Claims of Self-help Gurus. First of all, I wanted to be totally open to what Paul Damien had to say. I have read numerous books on The Secret and the Law of Attraction in the past few years and let me say beforehand that I have read books from the “gurus” and from those who took looks into the industry, movement, or whatever other label might fit it. And I must say that although Paul Damien’s book might not have been the first to lambaste these gurus, it was the first book that I had the opportunity to read through and through.

On a bus ride home from school eight year old Joseph Niezgoda first learnt about The Beatles. They were going to be appearing on the Ed Sullivan Show and Joseph was determined to watch it. Niezgoda, who was an instant a fan, writes fondly of his love for the band. It seemed that the fresh-faced boys from Liverpool had not only built up a huge fan base in Britain but also in America.
