Andy Siegel, author of Jenna’s Case, is a medical malpractice and personal injury attorney who practices in New York City. (2018, back cover) Siegel also sits on the Board of Directors for the New York City Trial Lawyers Association. He is a graduate of Tulane and Brooklyn Law School.

Tug Wyler is the main character and he is a personal injury and medical malpractice attorney. He is a one man operation along with this Latina assistant. Many of his cases come from Henry Benson, also an attorney who practices criminal law. His clients are usually of a criminal ilk, but require representation nonetheless.

Jenna comes to Tug via Henry. She is a young woman whose life has been curtailed due to an unscrupulous doctor removing her entire breasts. She was fifteen when this tragedy occurred. She is now eighteen. During his discovery phase Tug learns that her step-father, James, hooked her up with this doctor and that her father was being paid to bring patients to this unsavory doctor who then billed insurance and Medicare for his unnecessary services.

Will Tug uncover more dirt on Jenna’s step-father? One thing is for sure, Jenna fears this man. James is a scary man even to Tug, but Tug has a protector when required too. As Tug endeavors to find the details of what occurred during this routine breast reduction turned massive mastectomy he is stifled by James who does not want the doctor out of business, but wants his daughter to be awarded a lot of money for her pain and suffering which he promptly states is his.

Will Jenna be able to get her just rewards? Will Tug survive the numerous threats from James?

As the story moves forward Henry refers another man to Tug. His name is Frankie and he is a mobster. Frankie makes Tug uneasy and Tug tries to back out of his defense. Frankie does not like that because he is accustomed to getting his way. Frankie has supposedly suffered a broken leg due to negligence on behalf of a building where he was exiting a meeting and a pipe met his leg breaking it.

Will Tug end up defending Frankie?

Read it and enjoy it. I did!
