Carlotta graduated as Master of Visual Art from the Federico Fellini's Art School in Riccione. She then moved to Rome to study theater full-time, along with Communication Sciences and Journalism, and worked as a television host during her studies.

Driven by the aspiration to work with the masters of the acting craft, Carlotta headed for Los Angeles. Shortly after obtaining her first role, she was invited to the prestigious Actor's Studio moderated by Hollywood legend Martin Landau, Mark Rydell and Lou Antonio. She also worked with teachers Penny Allen and Allan Miller (former students have included Al Pacino, Barbra Streisand, Dustin Hoffman, Meryl Streep, Geraldine Page).

Carlotta is a true animal lover who learned the horse riding at only five.. Her philanthropy includes voluntary work at dog and horse rescues in Southern California.

Carlotta grew up with the desire for an adventurous life, a big passion for acting, films and travels. As a versatile actress, Carlotta now stars in several Hollywood feature films and TV shows

Norm: Good day Carlotta and thanks for participating in our interview.

What was it like to follow the five-year program at Federico Fellini's Institute in Riccione, Italy and could you briefly describe what you studied at the institute?

Carlotta: Hi Norm, thank you!

As my father is an art collector and when the moment arrived when I had to choose a professional school, I decided to study art at this great school.

One of the reasons for my choice was that I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do in life. All I knew was that I wanted to be either an artist or a veterinarian.

In addition, I wanted to give myself the opportunity to expand my knowledge in different aspects of art. It should be mentioned that to become a Master in Graphic Arts you need to study the entire history of art, design, sculpture, architecture, poetry, music and others.

I only wished we had theater studies in the faculty! But this arrived later.

Norm: When was your first role as an actress and what keeps you going as an actress?

Carlotta: My first role as actress was an independent feature film called Close Your Eyes. I played the role of Letitia, a genuine sweet girl that finds out her boyfriend is involved in drug trafficking. She completely transforms and ends up dating her boyfriend's drug dealing boss.

It is one of those projects that  my best memory is not so much the performances or the final result but rather the super fun team work and the passion that everyone had put into it.

Norm: Has there ever been a time where you had difficulty turning yourself into a character. If so, please tell me about the character and why was it challenging? 

Carlotta:Yes, it does happen. Acting involves intimately involving yourself and it becomes difficult if you are not trained enough to be emotionally open.

Norm: In which area would you like to improve as an actress?

Carlotta: Probably the acceptance part. The acceptance of when things don't materialize exactly how I wanted them to turn out and worked for. I think I am a perfectionist and I demand a lot from myself, sometimes I wish I were more generous and patient with myself.

Norm: What are the qualities in actresses you most admire and why?

Carlotta: When I picture an actress in my head, I immediately associate her with transformation and deep work.

Norm: How much research do you undertake for a role?

Carlotta: I think it depends on the time that is been given. However, in addition to the research, I feel that the time you spend to build a character is important which includes the various elements you need to build the character, as well as finding the real triggers that work for you as an actor.

Norm: What would make you turn down a role?

Carlotta: It's not easy to say, many factors come into play. The ones that are a sure thing are nudity when is not artistic and with bad taste as well as unnecessarily exposed. Another is very bad writing.  

Norm: What do you look for in criticism in your acting?

 Carlotta: OK, I am am so very much critic with myself, I know I can always do better. I would say that in criticism I look for something constructive and realistic.

Norm: Are you working on any current projects? As a follow up, what sort of acting roles do you hope you are performing in the future? 

Carlotta: There are few movies in preparation, including a lovely Christmas story. I wish I can but I can't say too much for now. I was also offered to co-produce and act in a virtual reality project with Gabriel Napora of Geonovus Media. Gabriel started the career of Neill Blomkamp and Produced Tetra Vaal which went on to become Chappie. The project is going to be a high speed adrenaline rush that will blow people away. Is just development now and will go into pre-production shortly and will see how it goes!

Carlotta: How would you like people to remember you?

I would like to look back one day and see that I have done something good and something that made a difference to my family and something that was helpful to others. Additionally, I am huge animal supporter and I will definitely do all in my power to make a big STOP on the animal abuse.
