God’s way to permanent fat loss is 100 percent effective. He will supply the knowledge, and give you the ability and the discipline to complete your spiritual and physical transformation. Your part is simply to accept the knowledge and the ability, and to apply the discipline that God has given you,” Ron Williams encourages in his book, Faith & Fat Loss: Change Your Body … Transform Your Soul.

This two hundred and sixty-eight page book targets those that want to lose weight by focusing on faith in God. After an introduction about the author’s upbringing, the book is divided into five sections: Being Transformed, Discovering “The Root,” Understanding and Defeating the Enemy, Fat Loss for Life, and Additional Tools for Your Success. Each chapter begins with a Bible verse, and some include a prayer at the end.

By learning that the root of weight gain could be from soul wounds, Williams says relying on God can overcome such obstacles physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.  More than a hundred and twenty pages are about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness, showing how He can guide the process of weight loss.

The program covers the last portion of the book and has a twenty-one day regimen that involves nutrition, Scripture, exercise, and prayer. Believing it takes three weeks to establish or break a habit, the author offers nothing overtly unique; he suggests eating in moderation five to six meals a day, using proper food combinations, not eating two hours before bedtime, and drinking lots of water. The food plan includes some simple, starchy, and fibrous carbohydrates, as well as low-fat proteins.

Typical to current diet plans on the market, the book does include suggestions to buy Williams’s products of trace minerals, supplements, complexes, journals, and memorization cards along with visiting a website for more information.

The final section might be used most often by the reader as it has twenty-one blank daily journal pages, MSG sources, and a soul-survivor fill-in-the-blank page, along with charts for daily and maintenance foods, prayers, memorizations, and body measurements.

While it is important to realize God is in control and knows all things, this common-sense diet that includes Biblical reminders encouragingly leans on the Lord to help with eating better, often exercising, praying consistently, and memorizing Scripture.
