Good day Dee and thanks for participating in our interview
Norm:
When did you decide
to become an actress and what was your first part? As a follow up,
could you tell our readers about your first auditioning
experience?
Dee:
I think I started in the womb! I acted as
a child, took "framatic" lessons in K.C., and acted in
local theatre. My first "real"audition was for Virginia
Woolf at the repertory theatre there. I got the part!
Norm:
Which part in all of your films is your favorite and why?
Dee:
That would have to be Cujo. I just feel I went as far as I could go
emotionally and that every moment is real and grounded It was
definitely my. hardest part--physically,emotionally and
mentally!
Norm:
When did you decide to become a writer and
how has your acting career influenced your career as a self-help
writer?
Dee:
I majored in journalism at the University
of Kansas. I worked on the school newspaper etc and have written
poetry all my life. But the books I wrote because I had to
share the message of how to "get happy" and create your
life in a really conscious way.
Norm:
Why have
your been drawn to self-help books? As a follow up, what
purpose do you believe your self-help books serve and what matters to
you about them?
Dee:
I know they serve. I have
thousands of testimonials! This is what I teach and speak about and
do private sessions daily around. The books were an obvious
step. They matter because this is my calling, my heart's work, and I
know how powerful conscious creating is.
Norm:
When
creating your books, do you work from an outline? How much research
did you do before writing your books?
Dee:
Most of the
books are channeled information, especially Conscious Creation and
the new ebook, Getting Stuff. Bright Light is more of an
autobiography and yes, I had to research my own life!
Norm:
Does your writing career ever conflict with your career as an
actress?
Dee:
Never. They are intertwined and
complement each other totally. Interesting that I do horror films and
this work is largely about conquering the biggest monster of
all....our lack of self love!
Norm:
What is the most
difficult part of writing your books? As a follow up, did you learn
anything from writing your books and what was it?
Dee:
Working with an editor and outlining Bright Light was a real
challenge. The second would be facing some of the more hurtful
situations I had to revist. And then working with publishers
that have a different vision than I do! It's so much easier to
live in the channel and get the truth and follow it!
Norm:
How long does it take you to write a book and what is your work
schedule like when you're writing?
Dee:
It can take
anywhere from three months down to a month. I usually work in the
mornings. I am fresh and it comes much more quickly and smoothly. I
don't write when I am acting. Each thing demands its own focus
and energy.
Norm:
What do you think of the Internet
for authors?
Dee:
Like anything, I think it can be
powerful and useful IF you know how to use it. I think the greatest
asset we have right now is social media. If you're not utilizing it,
you are missing a big part of your audience.
Norm:
What would you like to say to writers as well as actors who are
reading this interview and wondering if they can keep creating and
acting, if they are good enough, if their voices and visions matter
enough to share?
Dee:
Like Nike said, JUST DO
IT. Do it for you. Do it for your passion in sharing a message.
According to my channel, " You're perceived outcome is THE most
important thing to have in place to get the results you want."
In other words, what you "see", you get. Get your
imagination in focus!
Norm:
Could you briefly tell our
audience about your most recent books, Wake Up Now! A Book of
Universal Truths and Getting Stuff: and Everything is
Possible.
Dee:
Wake Up Now! is a compilation of
channeled articles that I send out weekly. My clients actually asked
me to put this book together because they were powerful for them. You
can use it for a morning meditation or guidance, or pop it open for
support during the day.
Getting Stuff is a completely channeled
book that includes all the important subjects that affect the
creation process: light, focus, free will, water etc.. For example,
water contains its memory from the beginning of time. So if it is not
redirected , it can affect the power of your creation. Genetics is
addressed in a whole new light in this book also. I entitled it
Getting Stuff because, whether we admit it or not, that's what we all
want.....to get the stuff. What we must realize is that we are the
most important "stuff" to create in order to get the stuff
we want!
Norm:
Where can our readers find out more about you
and your books?
Dee:
Please visit me on my WEBSITE. There are some great free videos that introduce my
work also! If you order one of the printed books through
Iamdeewallce.com I will personally sign it for you! Of course, they
are available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
Norm:
What is next for Dee Wallace?
Dee:
Creation! I
have two movies lined up, an appearance at Lily Dale in August where
I will be speaking and doing private sessions, ans several sci-fi
conventions on the horizon. I am continually doing private sessions
and teaching webinars about conscious creation!
Norm:
As this interview draws to a close what one question would you have
liked me to ask you? Please share your answer.
Dee:
What is the most important step people can take right now to change
their lives? Love Yourself. And then love yourself more. It's
powerful.
Norm: Thanks once again and good luck with
all of your future endeavors
