Riley, an orphan in London, hasn't had the best of luck in his young life. He was abandoned by his parents. A ruthless and wicked magician by the name of Albert Garrick, took him in and Riley became his so called apprentice. Riley knew his time was coming to an end with Garrick, especially when he was taken to what Garrick considered to be a necessary “first kill.” Riley was not a murderer. He had runaway from Garrick before, but was always found. He decided to fight. After the deed was done, the deed being Garrick forcing Riley's hand to kill a man, the victims pendant made a beep sound and he disappeared, literally. Since Riley hadn't let go of the murder weapon the vapor that had oozed from the pendant soon was engulfing Riley and he was sucked into a vortex and into another time.

He was soon discovered by Chevron Savano, a teenage FBI agent. Riley learned of a secret program known as W.A.R.P. (Witness Anonymous Relocation Program). Riley warned Chevie that the sinister Garrick would be following after him but Chevie couldn't see how that would be possible. Garrick, on the other hand, did find a way and was transported, mutated and bestowed with a power he had never had before. It would be up to Riley and Chevie to out run, out wit and find a way to destroy Garrick while bouncing back and forth through time.
