This small, square hardbound gift book has sixty four pages and it targeted toward those loving, caring grandfathers in our lives. With one to two quotes on almost every page by famous people, there are also children’s innocent comments set apart by artsy photographed fabric frames with a special font every few pages.
Similar to Siebert’s other gift books, the artist has fanciful birds, boats, insects and fish on creative backgrounds that encase thoughtful words related to grandfathers. Some designs are cut and pasted to form an object while others are intricate paintings and drawings.
With quotes from the past from Plato and Goethe to authors and statesmen like Bray, Chapin, Emerson, Franklin, Hugo, Milton, Rousseau, VanDyke, Whittier and Wordsworth, there are also Chinese, Irish, Welsh and Biblical proverbs.
The simplistic, innocent and compassionate comments by grandchildren like Anna, Doug, Matthew, Sue and Tim make the book even more unique as they share personal memories, knowing love is behind each one of them.
