Paris I've Grown Accustomed To Your Ways is a non-fiction but entertaining travel book to Paris. It's similar to a friendly storytelling from one friend to another of the author's account of the travels she has taken to Paris.

The wonderful places encountered in Paris comes alive to the reader and the reader doesn't feel like a tourist. It's written in a humorous, detailed and personal account of someone's love of the city. You can truly feel how much awe, respect and appreciation she has of Paris.

I liked the warm feeling the author gives you as you experience Paris with Ruth Yunker. She takes you on a delightful walk through the streets of the city. You feel the freshness of every new moment, you smile at her quips and follies as she visits each year and you're thankful of what she shares with you.

The author has made it her dream to visit Paris regularly. She rents an apartment each time, attempting to be in a different part of the city. This gives her the ability to really live out an expanse of her life in what is proclaimed to be the most romantic city in the world.

I enjoyed her description of the Luxembourg Gardens, her tasty experience at Angelina's for their famous hot chocolate, the sweet smells of the Grande Epicerie Bakery and the many more special places she whisks you off to.

Ruth Yunker intended to share her love of Paris to her readers and I believe she has done just that. My daughter was the first person to introduce me to even thinking of visiting but the author has given me new incite and I feel excited to make the trip someday.

Some travel books make you feel like a tourist but Paris I've Grown Accustomed Of Your Ways, makes you feel like you live there and feeling it first hand. I recommend this book to any traveller who hasn't yet gone to Paris. It opens your mind to the hidden parts of the city, it gives you an account from someone who has a genuine view and love of the city and the book presents itself in such a way that you feel as if you're reading a story instead of a book for tourists.

Biography of Author As Posted On Amazon.com

I am a humorist, writer, and columnist. I live in Southern California, and am almost okay with that.

I've been writing for years, starting with short stories, which I published in several literary journals. Concurrently I wrote magazine articles, book reviews, astrology columns and self-help columns for single mothers. That was back when I was a single mother.

My book ME, MYSELF and PARIS came to be...well because a writer's life is grist for the mill. A few years ago I went to Paris with the intent of getting away from it all, for as long as I could. I went for six weeks, rented an apartment, and lived half as a tourist, and half as a resident. By the end of that six weeks, I thought I had a book. It took two more trips to really have a book...and the result was ME, MYSELF and PARIS, One Toe Under the Eiffel Tower, The Other In the Grocery Store.

I kept going back, and now I have released PARIS, I'VE GROWN ACCUSTOMED TO YOUR WAYS. It's all about being the best American woman I can be while abroad...laughing and stumbling and getting it right, and learning I can shop in Paris and get out alive!

My next book is...gestating. And for me, that is the best part.
