And I’ve heard dozens of so-called experts make their arguments over whether Oswald really acted alone or was part of a larger conspiracy. I know the truth about that – and the proof is on the film,” Sheila Baker’s mother writes stoically in Wil Mara’s novel, Frame 232.

First in the new Jason Hammond Series, this four hundred and twenty-four page paperback book asks the half century old question: was there a second shooter in the John F. Kennedy assassination in 1963? With no profanity or overtly sexual scenes, the depictions of murder, violence and torture would make the tome acceptable for mature young adults and older, especially those interested in conspiracy theories surrounding this horrible day in American history. As a Christian based book, this reader wishes all pronouns related to God were capitalized for reverence.

After Sheila Baker’s mother passes away, Sheila’s curiosity is peaked when she is given a key to a safe deposit box at a different bank than her parents normally used. Changing the young woman’s life forever, inside the box is her mother’s hand-written letter along with well-preserved camera film dated November 22, 1963, the day John F. Kennedy was shot.

Never giving one hint throughout the decades in her mundane life of being curbside to watching President Kennedy drive by, Sheila’s mother has hidden her participation as the famous Babushka Lady who may have photographed the entire event from a different unseen angle that shows a possible second shooter.

Yet years later when most individuals who witnessed the assassination are deceased, the minute Sheila is in possession of the all-telling film, she is thrown into the world of being watched, spied upon and tracked every movement. She contacts billionaire and philanthropist Jason Hammond to help and protect her, the film and its eye-awakening contents from getting into the wrong hands.

Through both harrowing and sometimes unrealistic challenges the couples face trying to prove the infamous cover up, this is a page turner that catapults the conspiracy that could have been corroborated if one uncovered the whereabouts of the actual true-to-life unknown Babushka Lady and her coveted film.

Mara does an excellent job methodically tying the knots between historical facts and suspenseful fiction as the plot to uncover the second shooter escalates while, at the same time, the two protagonists try to understand God’s meaning in both their lives and our history’s past.
