Learn to Tie a Tie with the Rabbit and the Fox is a fictional, children's book that is easy to read and understand. It is a good, entertaining story with big words and bright, vibrant colours. Cute characters help to make the story enjoyable for the child and for the parent reading it. There are a few pages that you can read as a short story or for you to read again and again. Kids will not get bored because of their short attention spans and, with the bright illustrations and interactive feel to it, the story is engaging for both children and parents.
After a few pages into the story, it starts to introduce the instruction on how to tie a tie. As the story is going on in the background, the instruction is going on in the foreground. There is a picture of a young school-age boy, with a clean white pristine shirt and a black tie, just ready and waiting for what to do next. The illustration and the direction is easily understood in both written and visual formats.
The story has a lesson to learn and you can also make it into an activity. For such a short story, it also has a sub plot that tells children not to stray too far from the safety of your home or neighbourhood.
This is a book that offers a fun story on how a school boy can learn how to tie a tie. The funny thing is that some males to this day, still have trouble tying a tie so I think it's a good book for parents too.
This book is for school-age children and it is very accessible since it is available in so many formats. The author has made this book available in English, Spanish and Tagalog. Sabrina Durant also has this book available in e-book format and through the android phone children's book app. If you enjoy reading a book to your children the old fashion way, you can savour the feel of it in your hands. If you love the use of technology, you can use your electronic device to enjoy the story with your children. Either way, both methods allow you to spend time with your kids at bedtime or playtime.
The last page of the book has song lyrics for “Tie A Tie With The Rabbit And The Fox” so parents can sing along. Therefore, not only does the author produce a children's story, but she also engages them with song and learning something that will last a lifetime
