Good day Dr. Simpson and thanks for
participating in our interview
Norm:
Could you tell our readers what is Clairaudience, Clairsentience, Clairvoyance and Psychometry? When and how did you know that you possessed these gifts?
Dr. Simpson:
And a good day to you, Norm. I believe they are all intertwined, for the most part. For most, clairaudience would be best described as channeling. It’s not like hearing “voices in your head,” but rather, it’s more like hearing the voice of intuition. When I’m giving psychic readings, I feel the energy in and around my client and then I get a sense of “know” and the words just flow through me. When I’m writing, I open myself up to hear and accept whatever comes to me. That would lead me right into clairsentience, which is best known as empathy. Being an empathic, when I’m giving readings or performing energy healings on my clients, I “feel” them – I sense where their pain or vulnerabilities by feeling it within me or on the part of my body they feel it in. Clairvoyance I would best explain as like seeing a memory. You can’t see it with your own eyes, but you see it in your mind’s eye. With psychometry, although the definition indicates that it means “reading the energy attached to objects and photos,” it’s more like feeling the energy and interpreting what you feel. All objects have vibrations or energy attached to them. I knew I was different as a child. I would just know things and feel things around me, but never fully understood what was happening. I began understand these gifts and explorer them in depth in my twenties.
Norm:
I noticed you also have assisted investigations on missing person cases. How does this work and how successful have you been in tracking down missing persons?
Dr. Simpson:
Yes
and for this, I use psychometry. I use either a photo or a personal
item that belonged to the individual to feel their energy and “see”
what is around them, to sense how they feel and to see through their
eyes. I normally write down whatever comes to me. I have been
successful in providing clues for investigations that have gone cold,
such as describing the territory(ies) I see, buildings, car(s) and
any other physical details or personal details surrounding the
missing person. Although I’ve done only a few of these to
date, the clues I have provided gave search teams new avenues to
follow. I know of one missing woman whose killer was identified and
convicted. I cannot take credit for the countless hours and
manpower used in the searches, however, the clues I was able to
provide aided the searches.
Norm:
You
are also a prolific writer. How did you get started in writing? What
keeps you going?
Dr. Simpson:
I began writing when I was nine years old as an outlet and began channeling in my teens. I wrote feverishly each day throughout my teens, each writing more profound than the next. My writings became much more in depth throughout the years. What keeps me writing is knowing that I am able to touch but one person’s life with inspiration.
Norm:
What
is your creative process like when writing your books? What happens
before sitting down to write?
Dr. Simpson:
Great
question. When writing my books, optimally, I enjoy a quiet
atmosphere, sitting at my keyboard, closing my eyes and writing what
comes to me. However, reality does not always allow such optimum
surroundings. I normally get a flood of words coming to me and
I feel a sort of anxiety about writing them and after I write, I feel
a sort of release.
Norm:
What
do you want your work to do?
Dr. Simpson:
Ideally,
to inspire, either by content or style and to provide new
perspectives for others to live their life in fulfillment and
contentment.
Norm:
If
you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
Dr. Simpson:
If
I absolutely had to choose, I would consider Edgar Allen Poe a
mentor. His style and soul do have a way of reverberating within me.
Norm:
What would you say is your interesting writing quirk? And as a follow up, what are the preponderant influences on your writing?
Dr. Simpson:
I
don’t know if it’s an interesting quirk, however, I have a bad
habit of typing “l” instead of “n” at the end of words which
drives me crazy. For instance, where I meant to type “American”
I type “Americal.” I am also overly picky about my grammar
and vocabulary and typically rewrite a sentence four to five times
before I am satisfied with it. I would have to say that the
preponderant influences on my writing are the spirit that channels me
and compels me to write.
Norm:
Did
you learn anything from writing your books and what was it?
Dr.
Simpson:
Oh
yes. I have learned a lot. I’ve learned is that writing is
the easy part, editing is the crumby part and having a finished
product is a lot of responsibility. I’ve learned that writing
books is hard work and marketing is not glamorous. However, the
biggest lesson I’ve learned, I would say, is humbleness.
Norm:
Can
you share a little of your current work Essential Quotes with
us?
Dr. Simpson:
Essential Quotes embodies inspirational quotes and prose that I’ve written over a long period of time. One of my favorites from the book: “If today we fail to recognize the joy then we are sure to live within our failings.”
Norm:
Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?
Dr. Simpson:
Oh,
yes I do and they are so incredibly inspiring. The kinds of
things they tell me are what every author, I believe strives for. For
me, it’s not what they say, but rather, the fact that they take the
time to tell me how what they have read has changed their life in one
way or another. My readers are amazing.
Norm:
Whom
do you believe will benefit from your books and why?
Dr. Simpson:
Anyone
who has suffered from any kind of affliction in life that has changed
their views, their aspirations, their faith or the way they treat
others would most definitely benefit from reading my books. I believe
in providing tools for introspection and growth – “food for
thought” if you will. I believe no one can truly help us better
than ourselves and with the right ingredients we grow.
Norm:
If
you could switch places with someone famous, who would it be and why?
Dr. Simpson:
Quite
honestly? I would not change places with anyone, including someone
famous or not. I believe we all have our purpose and in some way, we
are all famous in someone else’s life.
Norm:
Do
you feel that writers, regardless of genre owe something to readers,
if not, why not, if so, why and what would that be?
Dr. Simpson:
I
believe writers owe their readers profundity and as close to
grammatical perfection as possible.
Norm:
Where
can our readers find out more about you and your book and what are
you upcoming projects?
Dr. Simpson:
For information on all of my books, upcoming releases and services, please visit my WEBSITE. I am currently working on another metaphysical novel entitled, Divination alongside a self-help book entitled, Hardboiled Egg.
Norm:
Is
there anything else you wish to add that we have not covered?
Dr. Simpson:
I wish to thank you for this wonderful interview and a special thank you to your readers.
Norm:
Good luck with all of your future endeavors
