I have a confession to
make. I did not read Never Be Sick Again by Raymond Francis. That’s
right. I didn't read it...I devoured it!! This book is, without a
doubt, one of the most interesting books on health that I have ever
read.
It helps that I am a believer in the body's ability to
heal itself and the importance that nutrition plays in preventing
disease. But the author has done tremendous research on disease and
presents a very compelling argument as to why we should avoid certain
foods, products and medications.
I am pretty sure that some
will find this book controversial. It helps that the author cites a
multitude of credible authors, doctors, studies and more that back up
his arguments. And actually, Mr. Francis' arguments are so compelling
that I immediately began a detox program based on his
recommendations. I eliminated sugar, coffee, flour, hydrogenated oil,
processed foods, diet soda and milk. I felt better immediately and my
diet was pretty healthy to begin with!
The author’s theory
is very clear and concise, presented in a conversational tone devoid
of medical speak. Francis suggests there is only one disease with two
causes. You may wonder "how can this be when there are hundreds
of diseases?” Do yourself a favor and read this book with an open
mind. It makes sense. The author then lays out six pathways that
humans can incorporate to fight this disease and prolong good health
and longevity.
Since I like to have everything laid out in
front of me, one thing I would have loved to see is a meal plan for
optimal health. But the author provides such a wealth of good
information throughout the book, that it isn't difficult to devise
your own plan.
The author carefully explains the makeup of the human cell and how it functions in the body. He thoroughly explains the pathways to healthy cells. Besides the importance of good nutrition, Francis strongly suggests readers carefully consider their medication choices and explains what the four worst food choices are in the American diet. Besides merely suggesting that his readers engage in exercise, he also explores subjects such as why loud noise is harmful to the body and why eye exercises are important to healthy eyes.
Francis suggests that the non-toxic products and supplements available at his website are better than many of the varieties on grocery store shelves and that may very well be. His research is extremely thorough and he is incredibly knowledgeable about the affects of toxicity on the body, a subject meticulously covered in the book.
If you feel sluggish, tired, suffer from arthritis, chronic fatigue, heartburn or any of the myriad of ailments affecting people today, or simply want to avoid these ailments in the future, pick up a copy of Never Be Sick Again and incorporate the six pathways as you begin your journey to excellent health.
