Fran (F.C.) Boyd Interviews Becky Walsh Author of Intuitive Lovers

Today, F.C. Boyd, one of Bookpleasures' reviewers interviews Becky Walsh author of Intuitive Lovers.

Good day Becky and thanks for participating in our interview!

Fran:

Please tell our readers a little bit about your professional background.

Becky:

I worked as a stage manager eons ago and I knew I had a strong intuition…backstage I would listen to the actors talking about life issues and I would say things that were a little out of the ordinary for most people’s level of understanding. So, I looked into this and at first I thought that this was what being physic was like, but there were many aspects of people’s belief of being physic that I just didn’t believe in so what I believe is that I have a brain abnormality. If someone has fantastic eye sight, it is probably because their hearing is bad or something as the body compensates for things we lack. What I believe is that the right hemisphere of my brain is open just a little bit wider than the left hemisphere. We don’t use very much of the brain. I believe 10% of consciousness and the rest is sub-consciousness. So, things that other people pick up sub-consciously about people, I pick up on a conscious level. The right word would be intuition. So, I have a very, very strong intuition which I can use to help people.

So many people get stuck in the fear and the ego and can’t move forward. I practiced for 10 years and I had the same questions coming up over and over again about relationships and it starts to get quite painful for me because I was meeting women of a certain age that wanted to have children but couldn’t meet the right partner. So the book was really about getting reconnected to your own intuition, your own body, and the knowing, so you can make decisions not from fear and thoughts and judgments but opening your life to let the joy in. That is what the book does.

What that lead me to in my personal life is that I sold my house when the market was very poor and moved myself and my dog to America. One of the craziest things I have ever done, but your heart leads the way and so here I am. All I know is the when I check in, it keeps saying the same message and I need to keep following that until I understand what the message is all about. It is not some guiding force outside of myself. It does make other people very scared for you and sometimes you end up thinking just as they do, but quickly, you snap out of it and the heart leads once again.

Fran:

Whom do you believe will benefit from your book?

Becky:

I actually marketed the book to “physic” markets just because people don’t seem to be able to get the word out of their heads.

Fran:

What was the most difficult part of writing your book?

Becky:

I think chapter 3 was toughest. Since I used the feedback I got from my clients that worked. I wrote it intuitively knowing how other people were feeling about things as I tapped into a collective consciousness and I believe we can all benefit from a collective consciousness. There are 2 type of consciousness …the ego consciousness and the love consciousness. So, you tap into the problem using the ego consciousness then tap into the solution by using the love consciousness. That is how I wrote the book, by tapping from one consciousness to the other.

Fran:

How did you benefit from writing the book?

Becky:

I had my own talk radio show in the UK, I had a co-host, and we were dealing with people’s problems and your own life can become a metaphor for someone else. The station encouraged you to talk about your own experiences so there wasn’t anything that was private. People would talk to me later as if the people knew me even though I had never met them before. I think almost everything has either been in written form or recorded about my life. There is no difference between personal and private anymore. I realized that I am a conduit for other people’s lives. I don’t own the stories, the rights or anything else. It is owned by the universe.

Fran:

Tell us what it was like growing up as a child with “special gifts.”

Becky:

I screwed up on a number of occasions in coming out with things that I shouldn’t have been saying. Before the age of 11, I had gone to 4 different junior schools. I was lucky that I got to go to different schools since I found that I could get attention is if said things and did things and of course, that backfired. The next school, I just kept my mouth shut and managed to fit in a little better. It was friend’s parents more than anything that had issues with the intuition. So, I became quite timid. The intuition resurfaced when I was a teen-ager as I could tune into what boys wanted in a relationship and become it. I could say the right thing to attract boys, but of course, the saying the right thing to attract boys is usually the wrong thing.

Fran:

Are you working on any books/projects that you would like to share with us?

Becky:

I am working on another book which is called Cupcakes and Coffee which is more of a memoir. I am mapping all my relationships to show how things have worked out.

“Something very strange happens when you write a book, the book continues to write you. It is really strange because I think you have to write the book that you need to read.”

The other thing I am working on, which is why I believe I came to America, people just can’t move off the word “physic” no matter how many times you tell them you are not a “physic.”

I was supposed to have a website and there were some complications with it so, it didn’t happen. I want to be able to give people the same intuition that I have without having to sit with them in the traditional physic class because it doesn’t work. They are still doing intuition via the ego. How can you get people to listen to the earth, listen to the animals, and instinctively know when a plant needs watering before the leaves wilt? How can I give them that?

We are creating an on-line course and we will be creating it in three parts… the first part is on listening and how we listen and how we hear and multiple levels of listening. We are not saying that this is magic power. This is skill level 3 listening so we can teach people to listen without ego. The middle section will be using intuition for living. How to follow your instincts…how to follow your heart before your ego has a chance to argue with it. The last part is intuitive evolution, which basically teaches you to shift consciousness.

We are creating a film that embodies the audience. We are asking people to write music, poetry, whatever is your thing…it doesn’t matter what they are doing…sit in front of their webcam, but send in their stuff in answer to a set of questions and then we are going to make a film with their information knitted in it. What we are doing is producing a film that embodies the audience and has a message, so we aren’t telling the audience anything…the audience is telling the audience.

Fran:

Where can our readers find out more about you and your book?

Becky:

There is the Intuitive Lovers website, which is www.intuitivelovers.com and then there is lightofspirit.co.uk.

Fran:

And we will be looking forward to your Cupcakes and Coffee memoir.

Becky:

I am really excited about being able to finish that one.

Fran:

Thank you so much for your time and it has been truly a delight! I will be following you on your blog.
