The plot of this story is extremely sound.  A group of five young women are introduced to the reader, who are absolutely the best of friends.  One of the girls, a young woman by the name of Kim, loses her boyfriend through one of those many trying situations and is beyond upset; she needs nothing more than a vacation from the depression.  So, off she goes with her best friend Joi, to Louisiana to clear her mind and mend her broken heart, but she had no idea that she was about to start the adventure of a lifetime.

Soon upon arriving at their destination, the girls run into a woman whose ancestors were in charge of making dresses for various high-profile, ancient royalty.  Among her descendants’ bosses were Nefertiti, Cleopatra, and the Queen of Sheba.  Now, these weren’t normal everyday clothes that were made for these ancient women.  These particular dresses were woven with a secret fiber – a mystical thread, if you will – that made the garments have a mind-boggling and sensual effect on men.

Kim absolutely loves this story and has her very own dress woven for her.  Unfortunately, not only does the dress entice the male senses, it also “speaks” to a serial killer who’d stopped his murderous ways a long time ago.  But when the dress is near, the monster awakens once again and the mystery begins.  Should Kim destroy the dress and save not only herself but the world?

As you can see from above, and while reading, this book has a well-thought out plot and story.  There are so many characters in this book, that the sub-plots could have been “drawn out” further – making this a much longer novel.

The author, John Young, is a college graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and has always had a desire to write novels.  He is currently working on a sequel to Kill Dress.
