Author: Marc Boyajian

ISBN-10: 1432728016

ISBN-13: 978-1432728014

Coming from an author with a background of an immigrant (Marc was born Syrian with an Armenian heritage), The Next Falling Empire does offer some useful insights from an insider-outsider (Marc Boyajian has been in the United States over twenty years).  His ideas range from the strategic to the tactical.  Marc Boyajian’s arguments can seem a bit of an all over the place rant at times but much of what he has to say makes sense.

Personally I like his ideas of dismantling Homeland Security and FEMA as well as simplifying our taxation regimes but in other parts of his book, such as the proposed fines for people who hire illegal workers, I have to stretch to see where the logic comes from, in particular where he gets his tallies.

That nations and empires continually rise and fall throughout history is a given.  It is the same with historical eras.  So reading Marc Boyajian’s The Next Falling Empire was quite an interesting undertaking.  I am not sure that he presented a compelling argument that the United States is on a verge of collapse but he did get across the point that we are indeed at a critical stage in our history, no matter which side of the political spectrum you find yourself on.

This book is not long so if you are up for yet a new perspective on the way things are going in the United States and what we ought to do about it then give Marc’s ideas a chance.  It will definitely spark debates within your own head.
