Jeff Belanger is the author of multiple books and the founder of Ghostvillage.com.

Appearing as a guest on more than 100 radio and television shows around the world, Jeff now lectures in the United States on the subject of the supernatural.

As soon as you begin to read the pages within this book, it grabs you with its chilling hands. Jeff Belanger, best selling author of The World’s Most Haunted Places, has produced this paranormal read full of real people’s experiences with ghosts and the supernatural - all this from the vaults of Ghostvillage.com

This book covers everything a lover of the paranormal could wish for. From animal spirits to the possession of humans with plenty of scepticism where necessary.

I did enjoy reading about the various experiences people have had with the paranormal. They are detailed and contains the how and why of these events.

There is also a list of equipment that Jeff has provided which you might find useful if you fancy a ghost-hunt of your own. This equipment was actually originally used by Harry Price.

His ghost-hunting equipment does seem a little low-tech for today’s “ghost nerd” consisting of felt overshoes, notebooks and drawing pads, chalk and mercury for detecting vibrations.

Make of it what you will but Harry Price was very much the “father of ghost tech” back in the 1930s.

I particularly enjoyed chapter 3 for we explore what a ghost actually is and the categories that the supernatural phenomena fits into.

Time slip is a theory that is discussed as well as hallucinations, thought projection and colliding dimensions. Jeff gives the reader theories that capture you and make you want to believe.

He also asks some Ghostvillagers and colleagues what they think a “ghost” actually is? Some say ghosts are a materialization of a spirit or energy of a once-living life form, others think differently altogether.

I won’t give too much away, you really do need to get this book and read it for yourself. You’ll be amazed at what you discover.

Folklore and legends are discussed in chapter 4 with some fascinating theories but perhaps what we really want to know about the most is will death be the last stop? If you read some of these encounters, maybe it will help make up your mind.

I just couldn’t get enough of this book. Jeff is an excellent writer who keeps the reader hooked on a journey of ghostly phenomena. This is an author who is a very committed investigator and who never fails to impress. Read the book now but don’t forget to leave the lights on!
