Do you wish to be famous or perhaps live the dream through someone else? Then this little book is the one for you. We follow a stuffed bunny, Star Von Bunny to be exact, as she embarks on a journey to stardom. From finding the right agent through to meeting the stars (Beyonce, Nina Garcia etc) Von Bunny lives the dream. She eats a vanilla crème whip for breakfast, vanilla cones for lunch, marshmallows for afternoon snacks and a skinless baked potato for dinner. Then in order to work off the excess fat, Von Bunny takes up yoga classes to tie in with her strict diet. Later it’s a trip to the photographers to get some stylish shots - from silly to sexy.
With all the hard work done, Von Bunny thinks its time to take the plunge and heads off to Chanel to try her life as a model. They refuse to use her. Rejected our furry friend treats herself to some good old fashioned retail therapy. As she says herself:“I find retail therapy to be an excellent way of handling rejection”. Quite right.
With all that over, Von Bunny decides its time to learn the basics to becoming a M.A.W. (Model/Actress/Whatever) and gives us her 10 quick steps to becoming this icon. Believing in yourself even if everyone else is blind, is at number one.
Finally Von Bunny is off to the Oscars to give her speech amongst the glitz of fame. Wonderful!
This is a book that is quite different from the usual but it is still excellent. The author must have a really fascinating imagination but it works. Von Bunny loves to share her tips for making it to the red carpet. It’s very interesting to look at the pictures inside and observe Bunny’s rise to fame ending with her Oscar speech. Maybe some of you think it is a little strange to have the main character as a stuffed bunny but it adds to the playful spirit of the book which by the way has a rather delicious, classy looking ebony cover.
I doubt people are meant to take this book seriously, I think it is meant as a joke at the celebrity world and intended for a few laughs. It’s not the type of literature that you need to think about, more of an easy read-along-have-a-giggle. Funny, mischievous and light-hearted and a perfect size for your handbag!

This stamp is particularly lasting in case of teen folk. As we read Jackie Kendall’s The Mentoring Mom (New Hope Publishers,...

A Caribbean Tale
Author: Rudy GurleyISBN: 1427605351If there is one element that sets apart interesting personal narratives from those that are downright boring, it is the narrator’s ability to take on the role analogous to that of an actor in a drama who vividly and effectively shares his or her experiences with the reader. These experiences can be built around one single remarkable event or it may be of a general tale comprising several events in one’s life. What is vital is that the author must clearly...
