A quick trip to the farm is a good way for a child to spend a little lap time and Moo, Moo Who Are You? is a good way to introduce toddlers to farm animals. Each spread shows  friendly illustration of one animal. Clues on a flap share a little about the animal and how it communicates. Hidden underneath a flap is a photograph of the real thing.

Sherry Gerstein’s text and Andy Bennett’s illustrations are simple, as they should be. They fit this board book’s purpose perfectly. The complete package totally hits the mark for reaching its intended audience of 0 to 2. However, I suspect older children will love the book as well.

The last spread gives a final and quick review of each animal and offers additional tips to the adult reader for continuing the learning and fun. The suggested games and activities are aimed at toddlers, but older children will also enjoy them.

I haven’t read a Brighter Minds book yet that I haven’t loved. It works well that my granddaughter agrees.
