Author: Juna Jinsei

Publisher: OutskirtsPress

ISBN: 978-1-4327-2629-4

“Why am I here? What is my purpose?” asks Jinsei who suffered from emotional problems as a teenager and even as an adult. Do we have a real purpose here on Earth? What does God intend us to do?

Apparently there is so much we simply do not understand about life but hopefully Jinsei can shed some light on this subject.

During discussions about our purpose and how we got here the author mentions Stonehenge which is said to hold much power and history - most of which people will not have heard of. She attempts to explain to us just what this history is and how it is important to her and readers of this absorbing book.

The following pages also explain many other aspects about this famous stone circle - including an interesting story where it is believed the circle was moved from its original position many, many years ago.

However I found it difficult to digest all this information and what’s more, believe it. There are so many tales surrounding Stonehenge and some, which seem to alter with time.

Make of it what you will, should it all be taken with a pinch of salt or be taken seriously as actual events?

Prepare yourself to read chapter six. Here Jinsei talks about Gods and Geneses I found this had an underlying reglious theme but I was actually interested!

There are mentions of ancestral beings and how they resembled animals and plants. Somehow, it seems, history may have shaped who these beings were and I believe there is a chain linking all of us together - after all humans and animals are in many ways, very similar.

Chapter seven is next and should explain “why are we still here?” or does it? Most of the subjects mentioned here I have already read quite a lot of information about - for instance Jinsei talks of how ancient people learnt to watch the evening sky for guidance and direction.

My gripe is - where is the punch line, why are we still here? Maybe I have missed a clue in all of this?

Philosophers get a mention next including Amenhotep IV who was a great philosopher and born in Egypt. Because he was always sick in life I guess this gave him a lot of time to reflect on life’s many spectrums and because of this is somehow remembered as a marvellous philosopher.

There are simply too many other chapters to cover - if I did I may indeed just turn this review into a book! However I will point out that most of the areas Jinsei covers are probably much of what we have already learnt about but with more depth. After finishing this self-discovery book - I am still at a loss at to what my purpose in life is and as the author says, “why am I here”.

However it is a very interesting personal growth and New Age book written by Ph.D holder, Juna Jinsei, who attempts to uncover life’s many discoveries.

New-Age readers will enjoy this as well as those looking for self-help books.
