Ulysses Brave is a self-help guru who specializes in animal self-consciousness. He is the author of several light-hearted philosophical books filled with careful choices of words and images.

He was born on an island north of Scotland and has since travelled throughout the world, honing his gentle wit through much observation and active listening.

Life certainly is sweet if you take a moment to look through this delightful, cute book full of gorgeous photographs of furry animals. You will quickly learn that even a bull can be adorable!

As an animal-lover I have realized over the years that animals are the most dear of our companions throughout our daily lives. A dog for instance is our protector and a being that can tell when you are down and offer you a lick in return. You can be as horrible to a dog as you like but they will never hate you for it and instead stand by you forever.

This book offers a look at these domestic animals as well as the farm kind too.

Within the first couple of pages it features a snap of piglets with their pink snouts and huge ears. It is such a sweet picture you want to hang it up in your room and admire it again and again.

Each image has a lovely quote beside it - often reflecting the picture. For instance beside a photo of a horse rubbing noses with her young foal are the words: “It is normal for children to challenge your authority from an early age. Try to maintain a cheerful disposition”. Very apt indeed.

I particularly liked the picture of a highland bull with his long hair and curved horns. Even though he is sectioned off in a field surrounded by fencing he will “always live in hope”.

I can very easily see myself walking up to this adorable beast and giving him a pat and perhaps even brushing his lovely mane-like coat.

Of course there are simply too many of these equally cute photos to “aww” over. Fluffy kittens and playful pups seem to be the main attraction as well as waddling ducklings and woolly lambs. Which do you love the most? Myself I am quite lost for choice.

This can make the purrfect present or gift to someone you love - even children will really love this gem.

I could not put it down and can only assure you, you will be the same. Put this book beside your faves - I know I shall!
