10 Fun Games CD

Brighter Minds Media LLC is an educational publisher dedicated to improving learning for children from ages three to twelve. It now has published in tandem with the release of the Dreamworks’ animation extravaganza KUNG FU PANDA, three fun-filled books for ages 5-8 as well as a CD full of fun games to try and share.  All three books present a array of reading goodies.

First there is the King Fu Panda Fact Book integrating large fold-out posters containing information concerning the movie’s five prime characters.

Po is a endearing panda that works with his father in a noodle shop and dreams of becoming a Kung Fu hero. Tigress is the strongest of the fabled Furious Five. She feels jilted when a clumsy panda is chosen as the Dragon Warrior. Viper is a vicious flirt. She knows how to take care of her opponent. Crane comes to PO’s rescue as the peacemaker.

Mantis is the smallest of the Furious Five who has a big heart and is a brave Kung Fu master.

The second book, Kung Fu Panda Create-A-Story offers the opportunity to create a story where readers can flick through diverse panels to generate as many of their own character tales as they wish. Each page of this board book is made up of four flaps and each flap initiates a story and children can then create their own legends. For example: “Near Chorh-Gom Prison – Po wishes for – tasty dumplings – while Oogway looks on.” Many of the mix and matches will make the children laugh out loud.

The third book, Kung Fu Magnetic Storybook consists of a magnetic story-book wherein readers create new images every-time they open the book.

Clumsy Panda is chosen to be one of the Furious Five. All the characters help out Panda to become a warrior. Each page has a wise message, for example the one with the beautiful red tree and yellow background states on a banner: “A jade stone is useless before it is polished. A man is useless unless he is educated.”

Children will have fun with this magnetic book and its eight magnets, as they will become wise as the Kung Fu Panda and his friends.  The vivid and delicious illustrations as well as the stunning backgrounds capture the moods of the characters while at the same time conveying their emotions through vivid close-ups.

All three books are five pages in length and there is even a website where you can sign up for a weekly Parents Newsletter and Kids activity page. And if you are looking for reading material that will entice children into getting the hang of reading, these will surely fit the bill.
