Leni the Pug: The Comet Christmas Caper

Author: Keith Fiore

llustrations by Alexandru Sacui

ISBN: 13-978-0-9785773-0-8

Leni, the Pug joins her regular canine crew:  Elliott, the Boston Terrier, Guinness, the black Lab, Cassius, the Boxer, Hunter, the retriever, Jefferson, the Poodle and Spike, the Chihuahua, on Christmas Eve in Central Park for a romp before Christmas.

“The dogs sniffed a few sniffs hello

Suddenly--

An unfamiliar noise

Stopped the pooches frisky play

Jingling bells tinkled above,

And then they saw a sleigh.

Santa’s sleigh had landed

But he said,

‘Count my reindeer,

To understand my pickle

My sleigh has one requirement,

You’ll see just how it’s fickle.’

Comet was missing and Leni, the Pug, along with her canine crew were off to save the day for Santa Claus and children around the world.

The canines enlist the assistance of three Central Park pigeons appropriately named Wheat, Pumpernickel and Rye.

Read the book to find out if Leni the Pug and her friends can find Comet, save the day and join the reindeer team in spreading joy, goodwill and lots of presents throughout the land!

This whimsical picture book is sprinkled with pure magic, from cover to cover.  The rhyming story by author Keith Fiore is a delightful story for all ages with words that are guaranteed to make you smile and want to move to the beat of the verse.

The illustrations by artist Alexandru Sauci are nothing short of amazing.  Each page comes alive through witty story and dazzling pictures.  The pages are printed on Japanese art paper.  The book is gift wrapped in a package that is ready to set under the tree, and includes a red ribbon bookmark that will allow you to be able to turn to your favorite page, time and time again.

Keith Fiore has left the corporate world for good and is penning a follow-up book that continues the exploits of Leni, the Pug.  To be continued …

I cannot wait for Fiore’s next book.

A portion of proceeds from book sales will be donated to the Humane Society of New York.

That’s the message in Sara Denson’s book of grandmotherly love and family traditions. Both come across well in a simple story about Christmas candy. Grandma does everything (don’t they all?) from gathering the pecans in the fall to making and wrapping the delicious candies, which seem to magically appear each Christmas. To hear Grandma tell it, el
