Almost Home: Embracing the Magical Connection Between Positive Humor and Spirituality by Jacki Kwan
The following review was contributed by TAMMY COOK
The correlation between attitude and health has long been established. Jacki Kwan's novel, ""Almost Home: Embracing the Magical Connection Between Positive Humor and Spirituality,"" explores this link as she describes her
own experiences as a humor therapist and hospital clown. The entire book is infused with Kwan's liveliness and vivacity, and the book is both encouraging and uplifting.
From detailing the healing aspects of humor, to reminding us that our attitude in any circumstance is our choice, Kwan illustrates the benefits of living life with the ability to enjoy humor as often as we can. She points
out that when stressful life event happen, those events themselves are actually neutral, but ""Our reaction to the event is what determines whether we perceive it as a postive or negative experience."" This is a worthwhile concept to mull over and digest, because the truth inherent in it can help us all reshape our own attitudes.
Kwan's spirit and enthusiasm is apparent on every page. While the book is as much a memoir as a self-help story, it conveys a message that we all need
to be reminded of from time to time; Live, love, laugh.

The Power of Positive Habits by Dan Robey
The following review was contributed by: RACHEL NEWCOMBE I'm a big believer in the power of positive thinking, so was pleased to get the opportunity to review this title. However, to be honest, my expectations for discovering new methods and techniques were sadly not met. Robey has gathered together a selection of habits, covering key issues such as health, fitness, weight loss, success, relationships and self-esteem. Most of the habits are given only a single page of coverage, and include...
