Children can be a nightmare to keep occupied and if you know or have kids you’ll understand. It seems they go from one thing to the next in a flash of an eye - never being completely satisfied for long enough. That is where this little book of fun games fits in.
Yes, we may have things like computers and Nintendos these days but nothing quite compares to good old -fashioned games, some quite simply requiring just a pen and paper. Teachers will also find this gem very useful in hectic and noisy classroom environments. They can use this as a teaching book with riddles to help children exercise and expand their mind.
How I wish I had come across this as a young child. I seemed to be bored quite a lot at home and found simple games with pen and paper such fun yet it seemed there was never enough to amuse me. Fear not if you have this handy exercise book to hand - boredom will quickly become a thing of the past for children.
The opening section has an icons list that states which icons mean what. For instance small groups mean the children play in groups of three or more. Pairs - quite simply means the children play in twos and so on. There are also symbols that represent activities which may require a larger space and one that should please all parents - an icon of the sun, meaning this particular game/s involve being outside in the sunshine!
Maths quizzes are inside this book too but made in such a way that is fun to children not boring like many are…again if only I’d had this book maths might not have seemed so bad when I young.
Fairy-Tale Quiz is an excellent game if your children have a love for all those well-known fairy tales. This book explains how the leader asks the group questions about these stories and the first child who can guess the right answer to what is being talked about gets a point. It really can be such a good game - children will LOVE this.
A Different Kind of Math Chain is a really clever idea for teaching kids. Number work in a totally fun way. A child thinks of a math-chain problem while the others work it out using things like a dog (how many legs does it have?) and so on.
Nonsense - this game is WONDERFUL fun. Children try and think of the funniest answer to strange questions such as: What’s yellow, juicy, and goes up and down?
This is one game that kids will be amused with for hours, especially if you know someone who is a “joker”.
Novelty is about inventions - what has been invented in the last two hundred years? So many things we take for granted these days but were practically unheard of all those many decades ago.
There are simply so many riddles and games and mind-boggling quizzes inside this educational book with brilliant, quirky illustrations by Klaus Puth. Children will love this and so will parents and teachers. Divided into two parts, the activities teach important concepts to our children and help them with language skills and much else all inside a brilliant book that will have your little students laughing for hours! Expand your thinking and get this now. You really can’t go wrong with a gem like this.
