Good day Perry and thanks for participating in our interview.
Norm:
How did you get started in writing? Did you read any special books on how to write?
Perry:
I got started writing in my spare time during deployments to Iraqi and field training exercises. I have yet to read how to books on writing though.
Norm:
What inspired you to write your first book, particularly about such a gruesome topic as serial killers?
Perry:
I would have to say my fascination with serial killers and insight of criminal justice inspired my first book hence the topic.
Norm:
How did you develop the plot and characters? Did you use any set formula?
Perry:
The plot came to me while I was unable to sleep one night. The characters came as the book developed.
Norm:
Are the experiences related in your novel based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
Perry:
No they’re strictly a product of my imagination.
Norm:
What do you see as the influences on your writing?
Perry:
The crazy world I grew up in, the good and bad of the city around me influences everything I’ve done.
Norm:
What do you think makes a good story?

A believable plot, and realistic characters is the basics for a great story.
Norm:
What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

That people were interested in reading my book.

I never gave it any thought.
