Beth Holloway has written this wonderful book with the help of full-time freelance writer and producer, Sunny Tillman. Tillman has been Beth’s friend for years, working with her on media relations, speaking engagements, the International Safe Travels Foundation, and of course this book.
The disappearance of American student Natalee Holloway (May 30th 2005) sent shock waves across the world. How could Natalee just disappear while on her high school senior class trip?

She had friends around her and seemed an intelligent young person to understand not to roam in an area unfamiliar without people around that she could trust.

However the news of her disappearance came as a big shock and made every parent even more cautious about where they let their children go.

I don’t personally believe anyone can possibly understand what it feels like to be told your daughter is missing better than her mother, Beth Holloway. In her own words she says “I’m the parent who got the dreaded call. The parent no one wants to be”.

This is the true story of the Aruba kidnapping told to us by the woman closest to Natalee - her loving mother.  Reading this tale was so poignant and affecting, it is hard not to be moved. Holloway tells her stirring testament with words of hope and love only a mother could harbour.

Just how did it feel to be told the devastating news that your daughter is missing?  How did it feel to have to speak on television and beg witnesses to come forward? To have to pin up posters all over Aruba pleading for any information?

Beth reveals how she felt and the motions she went through by writing this brilliant book. From shock to desperation, all the while remaining ever hopeful.

I found this heartfelt novel so well written and at times it really moved me. The pictures inside illustrate Natalee’s life. From cherished moments at the beach with her family to her graduation day standing proudly with her Mum and Grandma.

All these pictures are put together so beautifully and speak volumes.
Her mum adds that even though she may never know what happened to her daughter, she will always remain faithful.

This is certainly a nightmare that no parent wants to go through. If you followed the case of this tragedy in the media and wish to know more or feel any sympathy about missing people, this is the book for you. I can honestly say that it is so moving to read Beth’s accounts, you really need to read it for yourself.

A truly wonderful book with a very fitting front cover.

The following review was contributed by NORM GOLDMAN It is difficult to imagine that at one time the Aral Sea, once the world’s fourth largest inland water body, after the Caspian Sea, Lake Superior and Lake Victoria, will, according to some experts, be gone by 2020. The Aral Sea is located in Central Asia in the lowlands of Turan, near the ancient Silk Road cities of Samarkand and Bukhara. What is noteworthy is that at one time it had abundant resources of fish, a very active...
