 After reading the first couple of pages, you are left feeling like you wish you were there. There are many questions Kev answers for you from what you can do as a trekker to what clothing you should pack and other essential items. There are also other bits of information to help you cope during your time in Nepal and Tibet. For instance how much is a Rupee worth in English or American pounds or perhaps what time differences  there are in different parts of this country?

Also included are photographs that really illustrate Nepal’s sheer beauty. From the peaks to the icy lakes and waterfalls - there is so much splendour it is hard to put this guide down.

What about the Nepalese people? What are they like compared to us Westerners? Kev also explores this question too. They really are the kindest most purest people in the world. I can safely say this is very true indeed knowing that one of my closest friends is from this breathtaking land himself, an absolute beautiful person both inside and out.

Perhaps you wish to communicate with these people in simple speech - a good thing to know how to do if you are in the company of a porter or Sherpa. Kev has included a section with really useful phrases so you are able to ask these people simple questions from “ how are you” to other expressions that could help you if you find you are faced with bad health and need to get help fast.

Everything in this guide is set out in an easy-to-read way so as not to confuse the reader with unnecessary details. Also included in the back pages is a bibliography and also a section with details of organisations that you can help to support by donating cash.

This guide is excellent in every way giving you everything you need to know about these fascinating and wonderful places. You’ll be packing your rucksack tomorrow.
