Many today are greatly concerned about the allopathic medical system, it's monopoly and the control it seems to have over us.  Despite what appears to be advanced medical care, the population is more disease ridden than ever before.  A growing number of citizens feel it is time to take back control of one of our most intimate resources......our health.

 

The Energy Healing Experiments is a very important book in that it addresses this increasing need to rediscover our innate power to heal ourselves and others through varied applications of energy and prayer.  I was heartened to see that the authors were open to the different avenues people use to access this energy and the different levels of understanding of what healing is and where it really comes from.  In fact, they included a section which uses the concept of a ladder to demonstrate these different levels of acceptance or beliefs concerning the mechanisms involved in spontaneous healing.  They range from belief in the placebo effect to healing being accomplished through different forms of energy transfer....to the highest form of this understanding. This higher understanding or top rung of the ladder, conveys the idea that the healing takes place independent of any material mechanisms and is accomplished through spiritual laws that we do not yet comprehend. 

 

Schwartz and Simon emphasize that most, if not all healers, stake no claim to any healing power in and of themselves but realize that the healing force originates from the creator and then flows through the healer.  It is also pointed out that true healing cannot be accomplished without the essential ingredient of Love....a Spiritual Love which can only originate from our Source.

 

The authors share the idea with us that "science was partly in the business of making the invisible visible."  So, for those of you who like to see scientific proof, this book documents actual experiments involving different ways of producing energy and how it affects others. Some of the subjects covered are human energy fields, energy produced by minerals and crystals, medical intuition, plant communication and what the future of energy healing may hold for us.

 

I'd like to extract a quote from page 179.  " Yes, we can ingest atoms and chemicals - in the form of herbs, foods, or man- made drugs and healing can occur.  But in terms of physics, the molecules per say do not do the healing.  It's the energy associated with the atoms and chemicals that actually heals.

 

The question then arises, if energy is involved in all healing, must the energy only come from chemicals that are ingested in the body, or can the energy come from chemical systems outside the body, regardless of their size and complexity - from atoms of oxygen in the air, from other human beings, from the sun?"

 

Are energy and Spirit the same thing?  Is energy intelligent and does it create consciousness? Or....does the primal intelligence or consciousness of the universe produce energy? Is energy material or spiritual?  These are some of the questions addressed near the end of the book.  Not only are these fascinating concepts to ponder but they may be a vital part of the process of  the understanding needed to experience a more harmonious body and world.

 

When one steps back and  views all the world problems, it becomes rather apparent that answers springing solely from a material viewpoint, are not enough to solve these problems. "The Energy Healing Experiments" points us in a different direction. I feel we are being pushed in this direction through the troubles the world is currently experiencing. Perhaps the world's woes will lead us to discover a world of health and harmony by directing our focus to energy or Spirit as the Source and remedy for all things.

 

I highly recommend this book to those who are looking for a ladder to help ourselves and the world to reach a more harmonious state.
