Marvel Super Hero Fact Book

Published by: Penny Candy Press

ISBN: 1-57791298-5

Did you know that The Hulk’s first name is Robert? Or that Storm, the beautiful girl from Kenya who has the power to control the weather, is claustrophobic? Or that Wolverine’s bones are unbreakable? You probably didn’t, unless you regularly read the many titles in the Marvel Comics series.

All these facts, and more, can be found in the Marvel Super Hero Fact Book, a beautifully illustrated book for fans of the Marvel characters. Each hero’s fact file contains interesting background information, and little known facts about the people behind the hero façade.

The Marvel Super Hero Fact Book contains information on five of Marvel’s biggest names including Wolverine, Spiderman, The Hulk, Storm, and The Fantastic Four. And for each hero, or group of heroes, the book contains facts on three of their most potent enemies. You might be familiar with two of Spiderman’s big three from the movies; they include Dr. Octopus, Venom, and Green Goblin. Also contained in each fact file is a large, full color, fold out poster of each hero.

This book is beautifully illustrated in vibrant colors, with each hero in a dramatic, crime fighting pose, which is exactly what you would expect from Marvel Comics. Any child or adult fan of these super heroes would enjoy the interesting bits of information, and the artwork, in this book.

He’s a mortal and therefore, vulnerable. To most of us, that makes him more than a superhero. Batman’s a role model in a way that no other superhero could ever be. If Batman can do it, so can we. The truth is, we can’t realistically aspire to be a Batman-type crime fighter, so…what can we do? That’s the question Cary...
