Author Peter David Orr was born in Reading, Pennsylvania in 1966. He currently lives in Easton, Pennsylvania, with his wife Andrea and their children Scott, Derek and Garrett. Peter is a teacher with an enduring love for literary, research, art, travel and music. In fact for eleven years Peter has busied himself selling original watercolours, oil artwork and unique sculptures that he has skilfully created in his attic studio. Peter’s passion for reading takes up the rest of his time if he is not painting.

However he has been lucky enough to go to many countries including Austria and ancient Egypt.

Although The Dive is Peter’s fictional debut novel he has also had a historical book called Peace at Daggers Drawn published about the political initiatives intended to  curtail the spread of the Second World War.

Peter’s idea of bliss and relaxation usually consists of being with family and friends, making music on his guitar or on the piano, reading, watching a movie or playing pick-up basketball with his playmates from Easton’s Southside.

If you love the thrill of a fast-moving story filled with romance, suspense and passion, here is the book for you.

Michael and an aging group of teachers take some students on a tour of the World Trade Centre but it is not long before discussions take place over how long it would take to jump from the building and hit the ground.

Michael contemplates about what could have happened to him if he had been on the 96th floor when Muhammad Atta smashed the plane into the Trade Centre at 470 miles per hour.

Scarily not a trace of him would remain. He actually found himself daydreaming about this and in the months and years that follow he turned this flight of fantasy into a secret full time scheme.

All this was blamed on the fact that his wife was sleeping her way to the top.

Angry Michael sought a new life with a new identity and finally he got the opportunity to act on his fantasy in June 2005.

He began to try and convince his wife Lori that he was losing it and driving the car like a lunatic towards the edge of a bridge. All this to fake his own death, preventing a man about to commit suicide but then taking his identity.

Michael seems to be obsessed with suicide and the planning of it. Could this really be the result of his wife’s betrayal to him?

However there is hope and love in the air once again as he meets Maria and their companionship soon leads to romance. She passionately wants to save Michael from himself but as Michael tries to make sense of things he discovers the real secret of life.

A cleverly written fast moving novel with many traumatic dramatic events unfolding until fate takes a hand and two souls are united.

This should just be the novel for you if you love gripping action with high suspense and romance thrown in.
