Do you dare to believe? Author and psychic medium Tom Rannachan does and intends to show us there could be life after death as he travels on a dark and spooky journey through the world of the supernatural.
This book had me gripped - I’ve always had an interest in this type of phenomena
In chapter two of 11, Rannachan mentions the increase in paranormal TV, radio shows and “ahem…books by physics”. It seems everyone has a ghostly tale or two to tell and there are many outlets for getting their message across.
The author talks about how a group of investigators try to receive contact with the spirit world. This does remind me of those shows on television where a group of people, who claim nothing scares them, are soon reduced to a screaming, blubbering wreck after a creak or unexplained bump is heard.
He tells us of his own experiences with “ghost hunting” and how even now he still suffers from nightmares from the things he’s seen (or heard)!
Some of Rannachan’s recollections are indeed chilling but so worth- while to read. It makes me wish (but only half of me) that I’d been there with him on his ghostly outings.
Chapter four - Rannachan mentions how odd it must seem to the casual observer that any sane person can be willing to spend their evening searching for ghostly goings-on in some deserted location. Who would choose to do this?Well I admit I would love to have a go and spend an evening with a torch in hand hunting for paranormal activities- if only to convince myself ghosts are just a fragment of imagination.
Rannachan shares with us an email he received from a woman called Janet. Her
distressing words open with “Please help us. We are at our wits end and have barely slept for months.”
It seems poor Janet and family have a poltergeist coming to visit them who insists on making itself a nuisance and particularly likes to scratch her eight-year-old daughter’s face and legs while she sleeps. Can Rannachan offer them the help they so desperately need? You should read this chapter for yourself. It kept me up all night!
A great book to read if you have an interest in paranormal stuff - it will leave you with goose-bumps though so make sure you sleep with the lights on…you never know what’s out there!
