If you have a passion for all things supernatural then this book that combines history, folk-lore and true ghostly encounters, is for you. Jeff Belanger, who launched the successful Ghostvillage.com website, has written this book that will have you in Goosebumps. He covers all places across the globe that are special points of interest. The White House is in here too….bet you didn’t expect that did ya? Also places such as Chestnut Hill Cemetery which is known to have been the burial ground for Mercy Brown - the Rhode Island vampire. Read this account if you want a chill!

For me however I was more intrigued to read about the haunts in Britain then anywhere else.

Muncaster Castle, found in Cumbria, is mentioned. A castle that is no stranger to ghostly phenomena with people reporting door handles that turn on their own. And nowadays nobody wishes to stay in the Tapestry Room because they often hear the sounds of a screaming baby - but whose?

I personally would hate to stay in that room and only share my deepest sympathy for those who are unfortunate to have to.

The Skirrid Mountain Inn in Wales has been visited by…no not ghosts but the popular UK television show - Most Haunted. Psychic Derek Acorah and the gang visited this Inn to find out more. Derek was soon possessed by the ghost of Henry Price. A grumpy old spirit if ever there was one.

A chapter to read if you have ever seen the show or want to learn more about this spooky Inn.

The Catacombs Museum in Paris is certainly a place I would be scared to enter. Skulls of bodies that were thrown down the pit are displayed here. There were said to be 6 million people who were sacrificed - and lots and lots of skulls to show for it. The author describes the feeling of being down in the catacombs where the echoes of dripping water are almost a constant soundtrack. Read this chapter which is complete with pictures taken by Jeff of the catacombs.

There are lots of other photographs and places but too many to mention in a single review. I will say that this book puts you on edge so be sure keep the lights on! Read this fantastic, chilling book and discover some facts you never knew before.
