The title was one of the first things that caught my eye about this book. It made me laugh but I was so intrigued to why the authors thought it was better to dump the trainer and do it alone. I just had to read on.

Personal trainers can be very expensive but they are handsome/pretty, young and toned. That’s why gyms hire them, this diet book claims.

During your schedule with trainers, they waste your limited time doing the kind of exercises that burn very few calories. The only thing they reduce is not your waistline but your money. That is why you don’t need a personal trainer, that is why you need to dump them. Fast.

Yes it may be attractive to hire yourself one in a world where we rarely see a celebrity without a trainer in tow, but really ask yourself the question: do you want to waste all your money on some trainer?

Celebrity trainers are different from the usual trainers you see at the gym. They focus more on a balanced program of aerobic exercise and weight training. They devote a lot of their time to making sure you really do lose weight.  Not everyone can afford one though so why waste the time and money?

Do you really want to spend $50 - $100 dollars per hour? A lot of us just don’t have that kind of money to guarantee a trainer who is good enough - or maybe we do.

Nearly every gym has a “guru” trainer who says that his/her training is the ONLY way to get results. Of course this is a myth if it were true then you’d actually lose the necessary weight with the help of a trainer and not lose all your hard earned cash!

What’s more they do not often practice what they preach. These trainers do far less weight training then their clients. Read more and find out.

We also explore diet pills, supplements and fat-burning tablets inside this book. The authors claim that these are actually dangerous - for instance they have been known to cause heart attacks, seizures and even death.

Be wise, stay clear of them.

And next time you think of trying out that new diet craze have a look at what harm they are actually doing to you. Just because the likes of Beyonce Knowles tried a diet called Master Cleanse which consisted of only eating freshly-squeezed lemon juice, cayenne pepper, maple syrup and water, doesn’t mean it was good. She is claimed to have said it was “tough” and made her feel like she was dying.

There are lists of other diets that have been tried and tested in Celebsville.  For instance The One Meal Per Day plan was taken up by the likes of Liz Hurley, Victoria Beckham etc.

A shocking weight loss fad of smoking cigarettes as an appetite suppressant has been tried by:

Jennifer Aniston,

Johnny Depp,

Kate Moss,

Lindsay Lohan…etc

Just because the rich and famous try it doesn’t always mean it’s right. As we all know smoking kills. It is very dangerous to your health and celebrities who do should not be first-choice icons.

I really liked the fun cartoon pictures throughout they helped bring a nice light-hearted feel to the book. There are also some photographic images too which will be improved in the new version of this book on sale late January.

So read this book by Burn ‘N Firm creator Ashley Marriott and former Medical Director Marc L. Paulsen who will help and show you just how easy it is to go it alone.  It is not as hard as you think if you follow their plans and exercise regimes. Plus you won’t be wasting a single penny on a trainer. What better excuse?!
