Valerie Oblath is the head of financial consulting service, Seguae Consulting LLC. She currently lives in San Mateo, California. Chloe Anne is her first book.  Chloe Anne - a tail about a cat that shares her story with us.  

One day her owner decides to move house and there is talk of taking “Penny” (as they call her) to the SPCA…or at least that’s how it sounds to Chloe. Little does she know, SPCA spells the end to her life with this family. She is utterly heartbroken, as a cat can be, when she has to up roots and move house. Her funniness comes through, even in these moments of sheer desperation, and I sometimes forgot this was a cat not a person. It is like having a friend with you - Chloe chats to you all the time about anything from the weather to what she dreams about.

She also shares one of my worst habits - watching too much TV although this does increase her knowledge of pop culture! I bet she can tell you who is president at the moment and who is the next big thing. 

One day while Chloe is in her “prison” a lovely lady comes along named Valerie Oblath. She talks about adopting Chloe and bringing her home to meet her other cat Cinders. Once everything is arranged her dream comes true - Chloe is taken to live a life of luxury with Valerie.

On her first meeting with the other cat of the house, Cinders, Chloe is taken up by her sheer beauty. She is petite and pretty with lovely fur and a thoughtful gaze. Over time they become friends and life could not get any sweeter. She even has a bath and grooming session although I’m not sure how she feels about that! 

There are two shocks in store for Chloe - one where she considers is history repeating itself? Am I going to end up homeless once more?

I can’t really give too much away as in a cats life, not a lot happens. It is just a lovely tail as told to Valerie, Chloe Anne’s ever loving mum.

A funny, delightful utterly purrfect read…why not get this book as a present if you know anyone who is a real cat lover?  I’m sure you’ll know quite a few.
