How to get Published by Michael LaRocca
The Following review was contributed by: Molly Martin Michael LaRocca has put together an approximately 90 page series of helpful hints, thoughts, urls, etc for fellow authors. He says he has been in the business for 20 unsuccessful years and 2 successful ones and now wants to share what he has learned. The copy I received for review is a zip file with a cluster of HTML files and some JPGs. The work can be downloaded at: http://www.smartgroups.com/vault/michaellarocca. LaRocca says the book has no cover, however the advice is sound. Some of the content included in the download encompassed common writing mistakes, creative writing on line, pod and print publishers, useful links, contests, book review and promotion. The chapter on Book Promotion offers suggestions for setting up a web page including many links to help the novice with preparing their own site. The chapter on common mistakes runs the gamut from contraction-possessive confusion to too long sentences. This chapter also has links for sites offering help with confusing writing issues After reading through the HTML files I received I believe the reader is offered good advice for furthering their writing/publishing career. Writer LaRocca has obviously spent a good deal of time in setting down his thoughts, gathering links and the like. The download contains much good and helpful information for both the novice and the more advanced writer. The work is readable, understandable and should prove of value to those who do download and put into practice the material provided. I would like to see the material offered as a plain PDF download with a simple cover. I think it would appeal more to the reading audience who may be put off with accepting a work that doesn’t appear ‘to be a book.’

Stupid White Men by Michael Moore
If you are interested in a diatribe, with some humour thrown in, pertaining to many of the ills of the USA, then Michael Moore’s, Stupid White Men should satisfy your appetite.
Best known for his TV series TV Nation and his documentary Roger and Me, Moore is, to put it mildly, a “ramble rouser.”
He is not afraid to sound off about government, corporate America, student apathy, law enforcement agencies, firearms, or anything else that may be on his mind.
In the opening chapter of Stupid...

Caves: Exploring Hidden Realms by Michael Ray Taylor
The following review was contributed by Norm Goldman, Editor of BookpleasuresMany of us have probably been very fascinated with caves since we were small children. However, we probably never had the actual experience of exploring caves nor will we ever undertake such a voyage to many of our planet’s uncharted regions. Perhaps, the wisest and safest way to satisfy our curiosity pertaining to the study of caves, or as it is called, Speleology, is to seek out a good reference text. National...
