Amanda Young is a nurse who finds inspiration for her books from being close to nature and her own life experiences.

This is another wonderful, poignant read by author and artist Amanda Young.

Megan is the daughter of Janel. She is a sick little girl who has one special friend, Tumo, her beautiful dog. Tumo is always at her side to look over her as if he were her very own angel. An ever- lovable golden retriever, Tumo accompanies Megan everywhere. The bond between these two characters is easy to understand from page one and beautifully crafted.

We move on throughout the story as Megan grows and we hope that she will recover

from her sickness. Many other characters are given life within these pages - her mother and also father Jonathan.

One day Megan disappears into the woods. Tumo later leads Jonathan there and he finds his angelic daughter singing a song about a little unicorn. Tears are in his eyes as he pleads with her to come home with him.

Eventually he manages to bring her home but Megan quickly becomes very ill. During the time of her illness her watchful friend Tumo never leaves her side. He is always around and growls if someone he doesn’t trust comes anywhere near her.

Janel is especially fond of her dearest daughter Megan for her son Andrew has never been that close to her in the same way Megan has.

Throughout these pages we see how a family in crisis learns to deal with their own emotions in a time of need when their little girl becomes ill.

The front cover of this book is simply beautiful with the lovely rich blue and the sweet unicorn, painted by Amanda.

As I read I felt instantly connected with the characters inside this novel and I ended up caring deeply for Janel and her little girl Megan.

I think anyone of any age can read this and thoroughly enjoy it. It’s easy to read and the storyline is sweet and moving. Descriptions are just enough to leave the rest to your imagination, creating a unique environment that you can get lost in. I found it increasingly hard to put the book down as I read on, the storyline moves at a steady pace and never leaves you bored which can happen with many books.

A touching, wonderful read that everyone will love.
