Think you live too far away to take a trip to Walt Disney World? Heard horror stories about how expensive it is to mingle with Mickey? Think there’s no way you’d ever be able to plan a vacation like Walt Disney World with your multiple children and tight budget? Think again!
Chris and Kristal Carlson say it can be done – and they should know! They’ve done it multiple times with their four children and they’ve become the masters of budget Disney travel. They’ve compiled their tips in their book, DISNEY ON A DIME.
Being a die-hard Disney vacationer myself, I went into reviewing this book thinking there was no way they’d be able to teach me anything I didn’t already know. And in fact, I was proud to say I was aware of many of the Carlsons’ tips in DISNEY ON A DIME.
However, in short order I found myself digging out my highlighter, folding over corners of pages, and underlining paragraphs as I learned volumes of money-saving tips I knew nothing of!
DISNEY ON A DIME is thick on ideas how to save on everything from high dollar items (your flight to Orlando) to the small stuff (snacks and souvenirs). Expect to find helpful tips on such things as:
*Travel
*Food & Drink
*Tickets
*Souvenirs
*Lodging (this is very thorough and informative)
DISNEY ON A DIME even includes sample budgets and food menus, as well as packing lists and a terrific chapter on “101 Absolutely Free (or Very Cheap) Things to Do.”
Chris and Kristal Carlson are so sure DISNEY ON A DIME is a helpful budgeting guide, they offer a money back guarantee, boasting “Guaranteed to save you at least $200 on your next WDW vacation or your money back.” I tested this guarantee and priced a vacation according to their suggestions. My verdict: Their estimate of $200 savings is far too humble! I saved three times that much on lodging alone!
Complete with maps and phone numbers, DISNEY ON A DIME should be the first (and only) vacation planning book you should buy. Give their guarantee a chance – that Disney vacation may be just around the corner for you, too.
